About the Author
Creating fashion is a complex team-work that starts at the design department and finishes on the street. This process includes several steps, and those steps involve people. Any information among designers, technicians, patternmakers, factories and buyers need to be clear and precise. We are strong believers that a good communication is the first level to achieve an excellent work. Sewing Seams is our area of expertise and, to do our part, we have developed a standardized sewing seams language that allows people who work in the apparel industry to select, to name and to look up any kind of seams. This way, anyone, anywhere, at any time knows exactly what sewing construction or finishing has been required. Know more about us at abcseams.com

Not ISO standard18 June 2020 - Published on Amazon.com
This book would be absolutely spectacular if it was using the ISO standards. I was looking at the codes for the seams, thinking (that doesn’t look familiar). The codes that are listed are by the ABC seams company (which I never heard of). It’s basically their own coding system. So if you gave their code to a manufacturer for a seam, the manufacturer would probably wonder what you were refering to. Only get this book if you work with manufacturers who know the ABC coding system. But most of the world uses ISO.
