Powerful portable projector with tons of inputs/outputs

The projector came in a nice colorful box with everything packed into the carrying case. Upon opening the case, you will find the projector, power adapter, remote control, and a/v cable. I did not find an instruction manual but i was easily able to find this online in PDF form.

The projector is very easy to use with basic operating system to control the built-in media player, control different sources and finally settings menu. The built-in media player can be used with USB flash drives or microSD storage devices and must be formatted to FAT32. I was able to play common file types such as JPG, AVI, MP4, etc without any issues. The even got huge 3-4GB MKV files to work however there is some lag and may freeze the controls if the files too large (understandable).

The M5 projector also features a wide variety of inputs/outputs but you'll most likely be using the HDMI and audio 3.5mm output the most. I choose to go with the simple operating system instead of an Android OS based projector because i planned on connecting either Chromecast to cast video streaming apps from my iPhone and connect other HDMI devices for occasional use.

Overall I think this is a great reliable projector with great brightness for most applications, all packed into a small/portable size. Highly recommended.

If I had to list any cons, the carrying case feels a little cheap and the handle started to tear already. Not sure if this is a one off thing but i'll be reaching out to them asking for a replacement. Either way, most projectors don't come with a carrying case and I planned on using a larger universal bag to carry my other electronics as well.

Very Happy With The Projecter - Espeically Brightness

I was apprehensive about buying this projector. I've been using a small Acer LED projector that's rated at 600 lumens that was pretty dim in a regularly lit room. The AXXA M5 has been a VERY GOOD surprise!! I use it regularly for presentations in a fully lit room with no problems. It is clear and easy to see without dimming the lights. I'm projecting full size (4 foot diagonal) PowerPoint presentations in a medium size (600 sq/ft) meeting room and it's clearly visible to everyone in the room. The room is lit by large overhead florescent light fixtures and 3 uncovered windows with full daylight. It's also a fairly short-throw projector. I can get an 8 foot diagonal image from a distance of 8 feet.

I usually use it plugged in to get the higher brightness (900 lumens). But even when running on battery with reduced brightness, the presentation is still clear without dimming the lights. I have found the battery lasts 1 hour. It takes 3-4 hours to fully recharge.

A very nice carrying case is included. It has padded compartments for the projector, power supply, remote, and a small tripod stand (all included). There is also a mesh pocket for other cables, etc. The case is 12.5" x 8.5" x 2.5" 32cm x 22cm x 7cm.

The projector itself is 6" x 6" x 1.75" 15.5cm x 15.5cm x 4.5cm It's a bit heavy for its size because of the battery, but still very portable and easy to carry.

I would HIGHLY recommend this projector. I've been using it regularly for about 2 months with no problems or issues.

NO SHARPNESS AT ANY RESOLUTION

This is my third projector is by far the worst in sharpness. No quality at all, it doesn't matter if you set on the native resolution or on 1080p, and it doesn't matter how many times you try on the focus wheel... the projector just won't get in focus. I have other 2 1280x800 projectors that cost me half of the price of this, and they are far sharper than this one. I was looking for something brighter but never thought that a $100 bucks projector could have so much more quality than this M5. DON'T BUY if you like quality sharp movies or if you are planning to use it for gaming. It won't give you that crispy image feeling like I have with my other 2 projectors.
The pictures in attach is in its native resolution, the corner of the Amazon website, on the max sharpening I could get from the focus wheel.
In my other projectors you can see that very same spot perfectly, but on the M5 it's just a blur.
Asking for a return asap.
UPDATE::: I realize that its probably a software issue. Once enter on USER mode for picture adjustment, the Sharpness is at 0. Problem is even if I put all the way to 100 in Sharpness the Image remains exact the same.
I also notice scratches in the item, include some deep ones in the main lens. I receive an used/refurbished item, and paid for new.
It's a SHAME. Will never buy from this brand again.

While it isn't a 3600 lumens Epson or Optoma, this little marvel is perfect for basic projecting for business purposes. I often find myself needing to extend my desktops while in meeting rooms, and not every client has a system that you can extend with -- while most allow you to mirror your device, this isn't always convenient if you don't want people to see notes you may be taking.

It has sufficient settings to get the right level of brightness and contrast. The one downside on this item is the focus ring. It isn't calibrated enough to make minor/fine adjustments easily. A higher amount of ability to adjust focus would be appreciated, however, in a unit this size, you certainly can't have it all. As a DLP unit, it is tough to beat in size, performance and price.

i bought this not for business but for watching movies at home. so, i cannot rate it as a business projector. it's bright. i can see it even when it's bright out doors. what's missing: zoom. it's got a superfast lens so if you want a small image, you can forget it, if you don't have space for close to the wall, or a big wall, forget it. the battery is sensational. i watched an entire f1 race on the battery alone and no fan. excellent!!! i like it a lot. i'd give it 4.5 stars if i could but i am left between 5 and 4 so, it gets 5.
