Do not use more than 110 ml on this diffuser. The weak motor cannot handle the water/oil volume passed that. It is advetised as diffusing a max of 250ml but that is wishful thinking. I thought I broke mine in the first use. Asakuki customer service was nice and sent me new one, but it had the same failure. Now through trial and error I have the answer. I hope they either improve on the motor or lower the amount of ml this product can handle.

I live in South Florida, so if anyone had ever told me I would be buying a humidifier I would have said there was no way. But last month I had a horrible head cold and I read that a cool mist humidifier could help relieve nasal congestion which is made worse by dry air from an air conditioner. So I looked at a bunch of these humidifier and diffuser combos, and finally decided on this one because of the remote control. I love that it is has that feature as I have placed it in my bedroom but it is not next to the bed. I fill it with water early in the evening, and when I am ready to go to sleep I just use the remote to turn it on. The device looks like bamboo wood and is very attractive. I really don't use the lights but it is a nice feature. I have not tried using oil in it but may do that in the future. Overall, the product works great and it turns off automatically when the water is gone. I would have given it 5 stars but there is a slight design flaw which caused me to hold back one star. The device is filled by lifting off the entire top of it. When lifting the top off to refill, it is important to be very careful because there is liquid from the mist that remains in the top of the device and some of it can leak out if the top is not kept very level and then quickly turned upside down to form a bowl that holds in those droplets. I also keep a small cloth near the device to wipe out the inside of the top and any drops of water that escape onto my dresser.

Love the remote. I think it’s more user-friendly than the one with the phone app would be. Who wants to look for their phone to turn on their diffuser? Great output/quantity of vapor. The lights are pleasant, but I typically run it at night with the lights off. I like the 1-3-6hr timer options. The top can drip some when you remove the lid... you just learn to do it carefully. I feel it would have been better designed to have the plug adapter at the back of the unit instead of the bottom, as I like to unplug and clean it frequently, and I don’t like having to pick it up entirely to remove the plug from the bottom. Otherwise, it is a great diffuser with amazing output.

If I’m lucky I get ONLY SIX HOURS of continuous use!! The top sticks to the bottom and is really hard for me to get off. One of my essential oils dripped just a drop on the top of my diffuser and the wood grain finish came off.

I will say that it gives off enough aroma to fill my bedroom and it’s easy to use.

I feel cheated though because I only get six hours of running time and then have to refill it. I was hopping to use my lavender and peppermint oils at night when I go to bed and having it last all night but if I sleep longer than six hours it’s off.

My main uses of the diffuser are to help me sleep because I have insomnia, to help my severe migraines, and for congestion. It sucks having to refill it in a short period of time.

UPDATE!!
I got it in September 27, 2020 and started using it October 14, 2020. It is completely dead as of November 18, 2020. Buy at your own risk!!

Loved the look and large capacity. The unit itself runs very quietly but because of the flat top the water condensation gathers at the top and drips down. It's fine if using it during the day, but running it at night, which is what we bought it for, did not work for us. It sounded like a leaky faucet with a drip you couldn't stop. Makes it impossible to sleep if you are a light sleeper. I returned it and got a different design.
