This product is not good for your scalp if you have actually scalp issues. Do not use this as a dandruff or psoriasis shampoo. It is not effective in that way. Left my hair pretty dry and frizzy but to be fair I have thick curly hair.
I loooove this shampoo it's my new favorite! I have a scaly, itchy scalp from discoid lupus and this is the only shampoo I've tried that keeps my scalp clear and itch free! I'll never use anything else again. I also use Aveeno body bar and body wash for my dry discoid lupus skin and they keep my skin soft and supple. Aveeno is the absolute best!
I've been using this with the Aveeno Blackberry and Quinoa color protection shampoo for over a month now. I think this conditioner is plenty moisturizing, and has a light scent that's a little perfumey.
My problem is, I have sensitive skin and it's making my back break out. I'm not prone to bacne, and these breakouts are limited to my shoulders and back of my neck. This isn't an experience I've had with many other conditioners, and I like to switch brands a lot.
This is definitely a thick conditioner, so maybe it has more of whatever ingredient can also clog pores. It's disappointing because I wanted to use Aveeno because of my sensitive skin and scalp, but this seems to havemade it worse.
I’m so weird about shampoo & conditioner so i definitely went out on a limb with this one but I’m so glad I did. This is the best shampoo & conditioner I’ve ever used! I will never use anything else again!!
This product does wonders for my hair. I have a hard time finding a shampoo that cleanses without stripping, but this is it! Look no further! I have medium thickness hair that is VERY dense and long in length. It is color treated on the bottom. The smell is kind of boring but thankfully it doesn’t stick around so you can layer it with whatever products you usually use and there won’t be contrasting scents.
I love using this Aveeno Kefir Probiotic Shampoo . After years of buying expensive shampoos my hair was feeling and looking weighted down. Now that I have switched to this Aveeno Probiotic Shampoo, my hair is healthier and has more body.
What a horrible product! Both shampoo and conditioner. It left my thin, fine hair feeling drier than straw, and super frizzy and rough. Lots of hair fell out in the shower. The conditioner doesn't condition and you have to use a ton in comparison to other conditioners just for it to coat your ends. And to use as much as I did each time, I would expect untangled, smooth, hair. Anything but...and my hair is generally straight with a slight wave in certain spots. I used it both items twice to give it a fair shot, however the amount of hair loss in the shower (and consistent hair fallout throughout the day after using it) made me quit trying to see if my hair just needed to acclimate. Second time I used it I pre-conditioned all my hair (roots included) with the conditioner, then washed with the shampoo, then conditioner again but only the mid lengths and ends of my hair (fine, thin hair gets weighted down if you condition roots with a heavy conditioner, hence my strategy). It felt horrible. I rinsed extra well the 2nd time because the first time it felt as if there was a tacky residue on my hair. Same thing the 2nd time around. I bought it for the scalp promises it claimed (seasonal dry, itchy scalp and sensitivity with no dandruff), and the moisturizing, soothing properties it claimed. It delivered none of these and my scalp didn't feel any better. This should be taken off the shelves given the amount of hair loss it caused...handfuls.
