It is really nice and I love the big ice cubes or big ice spheres in my glass.
They are huge and one is enough to take most of the space in an average size glass (exactly as you see in the picture); if you have friends over, they'll love this pieces of ice. After I bought this mold, this is the only one I use.
Unfortunately there are many cons to it:
- difficult to clean; the rubber of which the mold is made of, get water marks; they are very difficult to remove and it just look dirty at all times.
- The spheres are not coming out as perfect as you would like, there are several imperfections (obviously).
- Clear ice....difficult to make (almost impossible) which is something you, for sure, will do the first few times and then give up and surrender to the usual white foggy ice.
- Because of the quantity of water you need for each piece, it takes forever to frost therefore if you need more pieces of ice then those that the mold can make....buy more molds.
