I rarely leave comments, but felt compelled to warn others. I was so excited about purchasing the 5 piece set, figuring that the products would be high quality and long lasting given All Clad's reputation. Since the product description very clearly indicates that these sets are "dishwasher safe," I put them in the dishwasher. I have now washed each of the pans in the dishwasher less than two times and all have come out scratched, pitted, and stained grayish/white. None of my other stainless steel pots and pans have ever come out of my dishwasher in this condition. I have tried washing by hand, but the pans look like I've been using them for 20 years. If I had the option, I'd return these and demand my money back. These pans were not at all worth the price and I regret having purchased them. Please learn from my lesson and do not buy any of the sets associated with the All Clad compact line. These are quite literally some of the worst quality pans I've ever come across.

These pots and pans are the best I have ever used.

There are some simple things to keep in mind to make cleaning easy. Heat, oil choice and deglazing after cooking. A little water/wine/vinegar or other similar fluid after cooking while the pans are still hot will get anything off of the pan, and “bar keepers friend” is an amazing magic cleaner to make them look like new, every time.

With proper heat/oil choices, you can have these cooking fried/scrambled eggs and pancakes just as good as nonstick, but the taste is absolutely better, and very noticeable. Actually, all food I have so far cooked with this cookware has noticeably tastes very much better. The internet is an amazing resource, a little bit of research into using stainless steel pans will help a lot, and the food isn’t even comparable to nonstick cookware. Fried salmon, chicken breasts, I never do steaks on anything but the barbecue... but I had to try on these pans and I was very, very pleasantly surprised.
Easy dinners that start on the stovetop and migrate to the oven to finish? Beautiful. This was expensive but oh I have zero buyers remorse.

To boot, the whole set is safe to stack and takes up such a small amount of space, one shelf on one side of a cabinet. Our kitchen is in line for a remodel, but is TINY, so all the space we can save counts.

It’s also very nice knowing that these pans can withstand the use we put them through, and we don’t have to worry about damaging them with every little thing in our kitchen.

Lastly, non stick Teflon is very bad for you, and these do just as good a job as non stick as long as you do yours.

I have already purchased a pot separately, and plan on also getting a roasting pan if they make one. 100 percent satisfied.

I invested in the All-clad stainless steel cookware because I wanted quality cookware that would do a great job and last a long time. I’ve have the set now for over six months. I use a ceramic radiant cook top and an induction cook top. I cook a lot of steak. The pans preheat well and do provide a sizzling brown surface to the steak that I keep rare on the inside. The pan is easier to clean than wrought iron but I have burn stained the surface and I’m going to order the barkeepers friend to see if I can bring back the shine. I’m sure the pans will last, with or without the shine but in that regard they are not perfect. The other disappointing factor was the “compact” set which has two very shallow cook pots. The regular set has the deep pot which is much more usable for things like lobster or corn on the cob or collard greens or soups where you need a deep pot.

All the way from USA to Mauritius - thank you Amazon. The product is amazing with evenly heat distribution. The D3 is not that heavy and it is very easy to clean and handle. The compact version really helps for storage. All clad is of high quality. Go for it, you will not be disappointed. Just keep in mind that before putting any oil / butter PREHEAT is a must!

I received this set today and have already used two of my pans. The food seared wonderfully and cleanup was a breeze. The pans distributed heat evenly and are just a pleasure to cook in. I was a bit saddened to see that the 5 quart pan had two pretty deep scratches on it (see picture). I think better quality control would have caught this defect. But as far as the performance, I don't think you can beat these lovely stainless steel pans.
