Larger frying pan discolouration after first use. Not used smaller frying pan. Food sticks to pan on all heat settings. Lighter weight vs my Tramontina 3ply from Brazil. Will not purchase this brand again. Very disappointed with the amount I spent! Will add pics later.
I learned how to cook on stainless steel so that it acts like Teflon. You have to heat the pan on medium heat, add the oil and then when a drop of water rolls around, add the egg mixture. My husband said these pans make the best omelets he has ever had. The cooking surface is so even the omelets come out with a beautiful buttery brown texture that I never could achieve with my Teflon pans. Also, don't wash with soapy water. Just rinse out and towel dry then add a thin coat of oil (like you do with cast iron pans). I am very happy with these pans and look forward to years of good cooking.
I've always wanted a nice set of stainless steel pans and these do NOT disappoint. They are easy to work with and durable. I had to teach my oldest how to use them so he wouldn't ruin them. My daughter decided to try to ruin one and I taught her how to clean it with some barkeeper's friend and some elbow grease. If you buy these, please be aware that they need LOWER heat requirements because they conduct heat so well. Also, let them warm up before putting anything in them or else everything will stick to them. These are not meant to be completely non-stick but they are easy to clean if used right. My wife will not use them, she is scared of them for some reason. There isn't a single non-stick pan that I like better, even my cast iron pan isn't this good. I get an awesome sear on my steaks with these...like restaurant quality good.
I have avoided purchasing these for years because of the price, and have bought non-stick which have such a short lifespan that I am tired of replacing them. Now that I have four well chosen pots and pans from All Clad I can honestly say that I will not buy anything else...I am targeting the ones that I will really use!
I bought these pans. They are pretty pricey. They are so hard to get clean and everything sticks to them. I even add butter or oil and it still sticks and you just can't get the food off. I finally bought some of there pan cleaner and that helped clean them but you leave half of your eggs or whatever you're cooking in the pan. I finally went to Costco and bought a new set of pans for way less money and am way happy with the Costco ones. I would save your money and buy a good brand of non stick pans, not these. I never use these pans, they are brand new and they just sit on top of my stove taking up space.
Great set of pans, but would highly recommend buying the pan cleaner. I have a high heat gas stove that seems to stain the pans (even on mid-low). I usually have to wash and then cover with approved cleaning powder and then scrub rather diligently. Still best pans ive ever bought. Look forward to a lifetime of use.
We've had these a little while now and they work ok, but not for fried eggs. We have never gotten the system worked out to make non-burned eggs, or eggs without a very brown crust (disappointed for us over-easy lovers!). The problem could be that we use butter, not oil. We've tried everything suggested. So I finally broke down and bought a high quality non-stick for eggs. Still, these pans will probably last forever and are good for most things. Can be hard to clean. We usually scrub them, sometimes use Barkeeper's Friend, then will use oil on a paper towel to get anything leftover. We store them with a little oil rubbed in.
