This book does a great job of teaching kids the WHY portion of mathematical concepts, as opposed to the simple HOW. This is incredibly valuable, particularly for children who learn visually or kinesthetically.

Meh, boring for a mom and son who love math

I was surprised how boring this book is. The way there are so many moving and pop out pieces is neat but the math questions and concepts are boring. Maybe better for a kindergartner level but would still be rather boring.

The absoloute BEST book for teaching math I have ever seen!!!!

This is by far the absoloute best book for teaching math! Starting from basic counting all the way through algebra and geometry, and its so easy to understand that my 3 year old passed the final quiz ( 4th grade + level) after one week. It is much better than any text book I had in school, because it simplifies the learning process, and help kids understand how to solve even more complex problems by using pop out 3d visualizations of each concept. Highly recommended!!!!!!

Wow,,wow & wow.. as soon as my 5 year old daughter opened this book she was captivated.
So much fun to learn. Extremely interactive. My daughter has learnt so much so quickly.
She even takes “Visual Math” to bed as well as telling everyone she meets all about math and the theories!!
Please buy this book if you want your child to have interactive fun learning .. there’s nothing like the feel of a good book.

6yr old grabs it from the shelf.

If it sits on the shelf it's not doing anything. Kid likes to look at this book, I think his favorite pages are the ones that you can build the 3D shapes. Not something that I would have made a point to teach him already, but he is able to 'see' 2d shapes become 3d objects. Instead of just recognizing their names, he knows the differences of their faces now. I popped out the flaps before we sat down together with it the first time and I'm glad I did. It took a bit to get them without ripping them off the page and I think he would have been too excited to have patience. But theres always tape..
