Nice cable for good audio quality while wired, but I’d expect better built quality and durability from Apple. It could be thicker, more durable…

Seems very reedy and flimsy but does the job, unlike the pricier UGreen cable I bought ... sigh

Clean audio, no static noise, works with the APM as a monitor or for direct instrument audio source.

Does the job but not lossless support
Reviewed in Australia 🇦🇺 on 31 March 2022Verified Purchase
The cable lowers the latency alot so you can actually use this in video and audio editing to a certain degree if your an audio engineer then no airpods max even with this cable are not for you. Be aware this is a bio directional anolog to digital converter cable so it will not work when battery runs out on airpods max, be aware of that, if that is what your thinking of getting the cable for. Even with the lack of Lossless support wired you still get better quality sound wired you can even game with this with out an issue wired. Wirelessly the only think you can really do is watch movies and listen to music. I do hope in the future apple enable lossless support for the max in wired mode so we can finally see what these headphones can really do. For 35 bucks on sale this is worth it. But for the full RRP its not worth it. if you intend to use these for serious work in audio. The cable has potential its just Apple that need to unlock it.

Sub-par quality do not expect to last

Definitely a lower quality than what you would expect from Apple. If the volume on the phone is higher, it will distort in your speaker, here I recommend lowering your phone volume and increasing the volume on the device you are playing music, the sound quality is better.
Thin coating, feels cheap, I expect this will break in the near future.

Surprisingly good

Cable was designed for AirPods Max in wired use cases. I liked using them so much I decided to get the cable for musical instruments, where Bluetooth latency is an issue. Surprisingly the sound quality is significantly higher, with improved clarity.

The quality is good!

I love the black look compared to the white! Would recommend if your looking for quality. I'll let you know that it's a little smaller in thickness compared to your regular lighting cable.
