From a technical standpoint these headphones are amazing. Apples version of ANC and spatial audio are both game changing features. Not sure I'm allowed to name other brands in a review but I will say I own all of the "top three" over the ear bluetooth headphones and for sound quality and features these blow them out of the water. Literally no comparison. The only knocks I would give these from technical standpoint are the lightening charger and maybe that there is no 3.5 jack. Unfortunately for me I cant use these headphones as much as I want too.

My first issue is with the fit. They have the most comfortable ear cups of any of my many sets of headphones but they fit like a vice grip. Could be because of my big head but I don't have this issue with any other pair I own. After only an hour wearing these I feel like Im in a headlock from a professional wrestler. The other issue is the ANC in these make me sick. I can only use it for a short period (maybe 30 minutes) and I feel nauseous. I'm not sure why because I have a total of 7 sets of headphones and earbuds with ANC and none of them have this effect on me. I assume its because of the level of ANC Apple have attained here (its the best I've ever experienced). I wish apple included a way to turn it down a bit. Even at say 75% I would think it would still be the best out there and it might allow more people to make use of them. Choice is not very Apple though. All that said I am not returning these. One, I'm a bit of a collector and two, I'm holding out hope that they wii become more comfortable over time (or I'll get used to them).

So glad that i bumped to Amazon App and saw this in discounted price! I was hesitant at first as i still like my 4 year old bose qc35. Im happy that I was able to convince myself to purchase it. The noise cancellation is good but yet to try on plane travelling(so soon!). I dont put my expectation high but hopefully it exceeds as my purpose of purchasing noise cancellation headset is mainly for travelling companion. Overall, i like the design( and sky blue color!) though there is a bit of weight when wearing it. Battery is fine even if there is no off/on function, received it with 83% and atm, it still 43% for 3rd day with 3-4 hrs use every day.

Comfortable, easy charging with the lightning cable.
Pairs easily within the Apple Work Environment, eg, iphone, macbook, ipad etc. Works brilliantly with other bluetooth devices as well, like the Samsung TV.

Sound is clear and the noise cancelling is great. So much so I get a shock when someone taps me on the shoulder at night when I am gaming or listening to music!

Bass is adequate!

Fits well even on big heads like mine lol!

Only thing I would add is that you should keep the headphones on a stand to prevent them being easily scratched. I accessorized with a headphone stand which doubles up as a wireless charger for my iphone, but that's just me.

Overall a great headphone.

I bought these after being so impressed with my AirPods Pro, particularly as I have an interest in spatial audio. I thought the Maxes would be a step up again for use with my Apple TV 4K, particularly for Atmos soundtracks. That was my primary motivation, particularly as I work in the home cinema industry.

I had concerns about the weight and head clamp force due to so many reviews highlighting these things, but this turned out to not be an issue at all for me, with a very comfy fit. Build quality is stunning. They definitely offer better dynamics with punchier bass and more extended highs compared to the Pros, but the spatial audio placement surprisingly seemed somewhat more closed in than the in-ear Pros, particularly the dialogue distance. I expected the other way around. Mind you, both are far better than any regular headphones in this regard! Also, I instantly felt discomfort at the pressure from the noise cancellation and had to turn it off completely. I also did with a former pair of Sony XM3s, so I'm probably just sensitive to this, though I have no such issue with the AirPods Pro.

Bottom line - I'm glad I bought these from Amazon as the price and delivery was absolutely first class, but the biggest benefit was the ability to return them. Which I did. I'll stick with the Pros. Thank you Amazon!

I’ve been on the fence about the AirPods Max since it’s launch. Since Amazon have it on sale and have similar return policies as Apple. I decided to give it a go since there are so much hype around it by many YouTube reviewers.

First of, it is heavy and uncomfortable to my head. The clamping force on my glasses frame is strong. I can’t wear it for more than 2 mins because it is pressing my glasses frame on my front and back of the ears both sides. So my tests of the sound quality is within 2 mins on and off. I would say stay away if you wear glasses. It’s heavy, it moves as you move your head up and down. It’s weird, it’s not giving me anymore discomfort than I was experiencing but it’s not a good feeling the headphone moves due to weight whilst I am suffering from the clamping force.

Sound quality is good but not as good as what people rave about. Comparing to Bose QC35, it’s only slightly better. Bass is not really strong, my Sony WF-1000xm4 gives better bass response and personally I like the Sony earbuds sound profile better. (I also like the sound signature of Beats Fit Pro)

Noise cancellation: it’s very good, it is as good as the Sony WF-1000xm4 Earbuds. It’s definitely one of the best I have tried. A bit better than Bose QC35.

I hope this helps anyone sitting on the fence which reviewers don’t normally provide the above info.

I have been using these headphones for about 2 months now. I never expected these headphones to be this good. And yet they are. Battery lasts long and seamlessly switches between different Apple devices.
Music is insanely good. Computational audio is not just a gimmick, it truly does work. I've never heard such rich and big bodied bass in any headphones ever. And with 0 distortion no matter how loud you listen. Some house music makes my ears vibrate, what a glorious feeling.
Movies are another pleasure to watch with. I kept taking the headphones off when I first started using them because I thought someone was in the house. I even answered the door once thinking someone was knocking on the door. That's how spacious the sound stage is.
Noise cancellation is perfect. Both buttons are very high quality and easy to use.
As for any downsides, the case is an absolute joke. They should fire the hipster idiot who came up with that stupid design and fire the manager who gave the go ahead. Absolutely useless. Only use is to save battery coz' it drains the battery if it's not in the case albeit takes a while but still drains. However it doesn't put me off from the listening experience.
If you can afford it, don't think twice about it. Having listened to planar magnetic and $$$ headphones before, nothing even comes close without an amp.

I find the controls on the Air-Pods easier to operate and the connectivity with Apple devices is brilliantly easy. The sound is very good with maybe a little lightness on the bass notes.
