Dropped over garden gate

The product itself is quite good and seems reasonably well made, which is just as well as it was dropped from a height of about 6ft over my garden gate. I find it amazing that some delivery people are so lazy they cannot even open a gate and actually walk up a garden path to deliver it to my door, let alone ring a doorbell.
This is not the first product I have bought from Amazon that has been left at the garden gate with no attempt made to actually deliver it to my front door, It was certainly Not handed to me as it says on the delivered email.
Pros
The Book stand works as expected
Seems reasonable well made for the money
Well packaged (needs to be with amazon delivery)
Cons
The delivery was terrible as described above, was lucky it was not damaged
Hopefully you might get an undamaged one too!

THE WELD THAT HELD THE ROUND TUBE TO THE CLAMPING BRACKET ,THE WELD WAS ONLY A TACKING WELD NOT A FULL WELD ALL AROUND THE VERTICAL POST MALE THREADED PIECE THAT WAS ATTACHED TO THE CLAMPING DEVICE. THE FIRST TIME I PUT A BOOK ON THE WORK PANEL THE WHOLE UNIT BROKE APART. I HAD TO REPAIR IT MYSELF WITH A BOLT AND NUT AFTER DRILLING A HOLE THROUGH THE PLATE. IT NOW WORKS AS INDENTED THANK YOU EDWARD FEELEY

First item had a large splinter crack (I understand that natural wood will have natural defects but for 50 bucks I’d like the portion of the world without defects), SUPER heavy yet somehow not sturdy…. Second item (had to return first) had faulty book page holders, rust on the tube and the clamp, and doesn’t move smoothly at all. Very clunky item.

The parts are too huge for no reason! Make sure you have free space to install (no nightstands, coffee tables, drawers or narrow shelves) it has to be at least 2.5 inches deep! And 5 inches tall. The book stand itself does not need all this bulky huge hardware to safely stay sturdy or stable. But idk i will need to return. Oh and it gave me two painful splinters… anticipating an infection bc I cannot get it out!

Bought this for my L-Shaped desk, pretty much just for putting legos together and working on electronics. And it does create a lot more space, super sturdy, and it works fantastic. Also it looks really really great. The wood on the book holder is lighter than the picture I saw but it really doesn’t matter. It is super sturdy, no shaking, awesome!
