Dropped over garden gate

The product itself is quite good and seems reasonably well made, which is just as well as it was dropped from a height of about 6ft over my garden gate. I find it amazing that some delivery people are so lazy they cannot even open a gate and actually walk up a garden path to deliver it to my door, let alone ring a doorbell.
This is not the first product I have bought from Amazon that has been left at the garden gate with no attempt made to actually deliver it to my front door, It was certainly Not handed to me as it says on the delivered email.
Pros
The Book stand works as expected
Seems reasonable well made for the money
Well packaged (needs to be with amazon delivery)
Cons
The delivery was terrible as described above, was lucky it was not damaged
Hopefully you might get an undamaged one too!

At first it seems like a good idea but it's way too big and not very mobile. It has a very limited range of movement, so you can't fold it away like you want to. The tightning screws on the joints need to be adjusted frequently and you need to grab the hex driver and the wrench together to adjust it each time, when It should be hand adjustable. I returned it and figured out that I can just lean my book against a pile of books instead. Also the bamboo board kept giving me splinters.

At first glance, this looks like it will be really sturdy and stand up to a lot, but while screwing the main standing mast onto the base, the through bolt connection immediately snapped without over tightening. I’m shocked that this piece isn’t welded through, as it’s a very silly design flaw that greatly weakens the connection. I’d imagine that even if you got the mast on right, the weight of anything you put on the arm could snap this weak connection.

Design 4.5 stars. The U-bracket is too short thus preventing it from being folded away in an accordion style.

I would suggest the addition of pre-drilled holes on the backside to accommodate moving the top to the left of right for even more adjustment.

The first one to arrive had a warped top. Its replacement arrived the next day.

Very heavy duty brackets

I have troubles with holding things for a long time due to muscle weakness and joint pain so this was a wonderful find. It is very heavy duty and quality materials. Great for books, laptop, or anything you need to secure and have at eye level to prevent neck tension and pain. The bracket is very heavy, but rightfully so given the sturdiness it provides. I'm glad I went with the XL so I can use it for many different things. I would highly recommend this! You won't regret it! This only thing I did not expect nor like is if you tighten it too much it shaves off the coating on the bar, but if you do it any looser, it slowly slides down as you use it through the day.
