Broke the first time it was dropped.

We were excited to get these. The cup is easy for my toddler to use. The utensils are just ok - not our favorite design, but matchy. The bowl and plate are of nice dimensions and shapes. The design on all the pieces is adorable, gender neutral. However, the first time the toddler pushed the plate off the table (as toddlers are want to do) it broke into three pieces. Therefore I can't recommend it for kids, as is intended, either for personal use or gifting to a child. Pieces meant for kids should be much more durable given that they will be intentionally and unintentionally dropped, thrown, and used as impromptu percussion instruments.

When I received this item the handle on the cup was broken, just one side, I don’t know if it was dropped during shipping or receiving but other than that it’s absolutely ADORABLE. I think it’s just so cute. One thing I don’t like is that it’s a kind of glass plastic. Which is why I think it might have broken so easy if it was dropped. So I’m scared if my daughter is to throw it or accidentally drop it, as she is only 1, will it break? Hoping not, we can use a sippy cup strap to keep it from dropping. Other than the fact it’s a sort of glassish plastic, especially for baby’s & toddlers; it’s just so cute. It doesn’t seem like the pictures and art will peel or scratch off. It’s very good quality & definitely worth the price. I should also mention, I contacted amazon about it being broke & the very next day they sent someone out to get the package & replace it. Currently waiting on my replacement so even if you order & it comes broken (highly doubt it would as I’m sure it was an accident) they had it taken care of very promptly!

Gave this set as a gift to both grandsons because I've always loved Beatrix Potter. The parents of one grandson said they never even had a chance to use the plate or bowl; they took it out of the package and were holding it to look at it and it broke! The other they used once, were about to put it away, dropped it, and it broke -- shattered -- instantly. Dishes made for children really need to be sturdy and durable. The sad thing is that they really loved the set and were very disappointed to not even get a chance to use it.

We bought this for our 22mo old for Easter. She enjoys figuring out utencils and was ready to upgrade to sturdy steel type ones. We love this set because it is super cute and both my husband and I liked Peter Rabbit as children. It is a large plate with sections to separate the different food items. The cup is cute and the lid is a must have for this age, we only use it for meals at the table so it's a good size for that purpose and we give her larger more durable sippys to run around the house with. I do recommend the set but I'm taking away one star because the cute design on the utencils started wearing off after the first hand washing. A week later the design is gone completely...we havent had this problem with the plate or cup, those are still perfect.
