How are ratings calculated?
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

If you want a book that's full of self promotions for a company than buy this book. If you also want to buy a book that is a carbon copy of Investopidia than buy this book. I'll save you some money look up the table of contents and then go to Investopedia and look it up you'll find the book their.

1.0 out of 5 stars False advertising

After receiving this item my initial concern was derived from its lack of size. This "book" contains 79 double spaced pages with highly inflated margins. After reading this falsely described disappointment, I'll implore you not to make the same seven dollar mistake I did and stray from purchasing this item. The section on the back cover that promotes "this book will teach you everything that you need to start making money in the stock market today" is a generous stretch as well. This publication provides very little technical advice or contextual content necessary for a beginner to start investing and feels more like a free pamphlet provided after a seminar designed to tax the ignorant.

This book was suggested by a work colleague as we're both thinking about becoming millionaires 🤔. Pretty easy to understand and helped me understand the basics off the stockmarket and the jargon used on different finacial sites. Now back to making my millions 😘

Pros: Great and simple to access content.
Good value.
Easy to pick up.
Nice tips and advice for getting started in the stock market.

Cons: Punctuation errors in the writing (particularly commas).
Ugly blank spine.
Quite a short book.
Some lazy editing, for example, 'tap here for more information' was mentioned a few times.

I'd still recommend the book as it's a great starting point!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing promotional pamphlet for authors courses

I have recently started investing and was looking for a beginners guide. While this does provide a very basic overview to the stock market and various types of trading there is nothing in it that cannot be found for free with a google search or even youtube.

As per my title this "book" is nothing more than a sales pitch for the authors online courses. In one chapter the author includes his email asking you to email him and if there is enough interest he will develop a course. Frankly at less that 100 pages i cant really call it a book either.

My honest advise is save your money, better yet, invest it in an ETF. Just please dont buy this book and thus make this author a little bit richer.

3.0 out of 5 stars A decent primer

This is a decent basic introduction to the stock market. The rudiments of investing in shares are first set forth. The writer segments trader types into three distinct categories, ''day'', ''momentum'' and ''long''. He espouses a safe and sensible strategy for each type, at least the strategy he personally employs - it is worth making notes. We are introduced to the basics of fundamental and technical analyse (P/E ratio and moving average, etc). It is a crisp succinctly written booklet which will offer the absolute basics, but it does have the feel of a printed-out net article - it is littered with web links - and will inherently leave one wanting more.

5.0 out of 5 stars This has been the most interesting/helpful book I have ever read.

Yes you read that right this has been the most interesting/helpful book I have ever read for a few reasons. The first reason would be that going into this book I knew almost nothing about stocks but after reading this book I have gained a lot of new insight into the stock market so yes the book does what it should do which is educate you on the stock market. The second reason was that this book is just pure information there is no filler at all it is just pure information and that information is very easy to understand (in my opinion at least). So all in all its a great book if you have no idea about the stock market. 5/5

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for the complete beginner

I literally knew nothing about the stock market, but thought that it might be something worth learning about. I bought this book based on the good reviews.

I am not saying it’s a bad book, though I wouldn’t say it’s for the complete beginner. I feel like things are skipped over, without thorough explanation. There are also terms used, without explanation to their meaning. It is a very short book, and there is a little bit too much self promotion for his other books and courses.

I’m sure I will come back to it. And I’m sure I will learn a lot from it. I have learnt a lot from it already. But, I will go back to the basics for now.

I’m not really sure what people were looking for in this book that they did not find, but I gained a lot. This book gives bite sized chunks of info which are easy to digest, and also offers great examples and analogies. This book is perfect for new traders and investors and is a great starting point. The author does promote other books as well as courses, but only when it is directly involved with something that’s being discussed. The author also offers loads of other resources such as links to NASDAQ and NYSE official pages. I therefore would give this book a 10/10 and I hope everyone that wants to learn takes a chance and purchases this. It’s so easy to understand that you could probably give it to a teenager and they’ll take away great value. Must buy!!!!
