I just tried to install 10 of these on my existing Blum hinges and it was everything I could do not to throw them through a window. I was able to get 5 of them on but the other 5 just would not attach no matter what I tried. My hands are killing me - as another reviewer stated these do not go on as easily as the Youtube videos make it look. The five that I was able to attach, I was able to remove and re-attach fairly easily, while the others would not go on no matter what. So I know it was the adapters and not my incompetence or the hinges. Well, my incompetence could have played a role but nevertheless. The package came with no instructions and I still don't understand how they attach even though I was able to get some of them on. The five that attached worked to varying degrees on five different cabinet doors that are exactly the same in size; some of the doors closed nice and slow and some still hit the doorframe with a thud if I gave the door a good swing. Pretty disappointing. They also come off pretty easily so I'm not sure how reliable they'd be long term. I'm looking at plan B and have already boxed these up to return to Amazon.

We recently moved out of a townhouse with soft closing hinges on all of the cabinets into a 14 year old house with standard hinges. There was lot of banging going on! I was at the point of replacing all of the hinges but came across these little beauties. First off, they install in about two seconds each and that's not an exaggeration. No tools or special knowledge needed, they just snap into place. They look just like the hinge and, best of all, they work perfectly. They are not self closers, only soft closers. But just give the door a little flip and it closes nice and softly with no noise at all. It doesn't matter if you close it softly or too hard, these won't allow the door to slam. They appear very well made and should last as long as your cabinets or hinges. last. I bought 40 of these and would buy them again in a minute. Plan on one for each two or three hinge door. Now, if they just made something this simple that worked so well for my drawers.

I have purchased about 100 of these units. When they attach, they work great. They keep the doors from slamming and they do close. The only problem I have had is some of units will not attach as they should. I purchased 100 from another vendor and none would attach. They appeared to be exact like the ones that did attach. I return those and purchased in smaller lot sizes. About 3 in 20 would not attach. I discovered it has something to do with the spring. I found that if I bent it out more, I could get them to stay attached. Once they attach they work great.

These are identical to IKEA "UTRUSTA" 402.418.23. I've been buying these from IKEA for years. IKEA recently stopped selling them, so I've switched to buying them here.

I've installed hundreds of these dampers in rental properties, and never seen a failure. None have worn out.

They snap on in seconds and make cabinet doors close gently.

Snap on was a breeze - once you get the angle just right. Each one took about 5-10 seconds to snap on... we ordered another 20-pack to complete our project. It's important that your original hinges have the type of hole seen in the picture above for these to work (removed the white Brakur tab to see the snap on area)! Note the ridge on the top and bottom of the square hole, and the half-moon hook shape inside the square hole. Highly recommended product, couldn't be happier with our purchase!!!
