On the plus side it does provide great protection while in a bag or backpack. When i did actively use it I've gotten 2 recharges of my ear buds over a 2 day span. The case it self has a very premium look and feel and looks great if you like the branded look for your products.
Might be worth it for a very active user but not if you only need this every now and then like myself. Not worth having to remember to recharge it before every use.
This is a much better case than the stock SoundSport case. The case is sturdy and is reinforced with plastic. It keeps your SoundSport charged and ready to go.
But at $50, and designed to work with the headphones alone, I just think it could be a little better.
I wish I could trust it more. The battery indicators are maddeningly opaque, although it seems to hold a lot of charges. Something like 4 LEDs for each 25% of charge would have been super useful.
It's also a little too bulky to be comfortable in your pocket. Also the black matte covering doesn't look that great.
I only really use this when traveling, else I use chargers that are compatible with my phone, etc. instead.
I'll start with the bad:
(-) There is no coiling mechanism. I have two Sound Sports. How can it be so hard to put something in there that I can wrap them around? Without that, I'm just stuffing them in.
And on to the positive:
(+) Before getting this, I'd have to coil up my wire, stuff it in the round case that comes with my Sound Sports, and then shove a charging cable in there. I've been doing this for three years, through several Sound Sports that I used and then worn out. Now, it's a bit easier, with the caveat that you still have to apply some finesse.
(+) There is a battery indicator. But you have to press it to find out whether the case needs a charge. I'm not a fan because...this is Bose. There should be a passive way for me to get that information. Yes, I realize that it might entail that the unit uses power to tell you it needs a charge.
Overall, while I have pointed out some issues, I have few regrets about getting this.
