These headphones are a lovely rose gold colour and I bought them as a present for my wife. The performance is as good as we always expect from Bose - and they look great.

IN SUM: These headphones are ONLY usable with the app turned on and your phone nearby to pair with. You cannot just use noise cancellation with no active phone. Of course I would like to use my bluetooth on my phone occasionally, but not every time I use these. I'm joining the rest of the world and buying the new Sony headphones. Bose is no longer what they were.
When I am in the office, the noise cancellation at max level does a nice job of silencing almost everything. I can still hear voices but they are drastically muted. The building HVAC sounds completely disappear and I’ve been startled by a co-worker a few times because I didn’t hear them approach my desk when my back was turned.
I work from home twice a week and have been able to completely tune out my husband who plays video games and chats with his friends rather loudly (he plays in the basement under my office). He also snuck up on me when I was wearing them and scared the crap out of me 😆
The sound quality is good - I’ve had multiple conference calls and have experienced no issues. Most of the time, I wear them (without any audio) simply to block out background noise. Seems kind of silly to spend so much money for that sole reason but they really do an excellent job at noise cancellation.
I recommend purchasing the extended warranty - I had issues with Bose earbuds a few years ago so I don’t completely trust the lasting quality of their products.
The only minor thing I don’t care for is the light colored headband cushion and fabric material. I considered this before purchasing the rose gold color and obviously, it wasn't enough of a deterrent for me to choose the black model. It is a comfortable band but I can see it getting dirty quickly. Especially for people who dye their hair (I dye my hair black).
The bluetooth will only support two devices at once. "No problem, who uses 3 devices at once?" I thought. Well, what they don't tell you is that it won't auto-switch between devices, so you are constantly opening the app to adjust devices if you need to switch between MORE THAN ONE. Why one? Because one of them always has to be your phone to use the bloody app! So, it really only supports your phone plus one.
Bluetooth randomly disconnects. And randomly tries to connect, beeping and beeping in your ear or just failing completely. Pain in the @$$.
App constantly forgets the device, tries to connect with other people's devices, creates delays while it figures things out, etc. Pain in the @$$.
Noise cancelling isn't as good as previous models. You can't just turn on the noise cancelling either like you could with the others. It has to be audio on.
App is a stupid, pathetic piece of garbage. It's slow to connect, it's a pain to manage connections that CONSTANTLY need to be managed (HIDDEN IN A SECONDARY MENU - ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME!?). And even with the stupid app I shouldn't have to use, I still can't adjust sound quality.
Bass is too strong and un-smooth. And there's no way to adjust it. I can't listen to some of my favorite songs through these headphones.
All I can say is that Bose better get their act together or I'm finally following my friends to other brands.
