5.0 out of 5 stars 3 Cheese Slicer Comparison
Reviewed in the United States on 1 June 2019
I recently bought 3 cheese slicers because I'm desperate to find one that actually slices hard cheese into slices that I find ideal. Like you, my wooden handle european slicer recently broke leaving me with only knives to slice cheese - ugh...I can tell you definitively, I found my new favorite slicer.

I bought two Boskas (Copenhagen & Monaco) and one KBasix slicers.

Hands down, both Boskas performed well, but the $10 Copenhagen did better at providing a slightly thicker slice of cheese. If you regularly eat Manchego, Parmesan, or other hard cheeses and want to create a cheese board, then sliced cheese is the way to go. And they can't be too thick - hence forget the wire cheese cutter slicers! To be fair, the KBasix slicer would be ideal if you're looking for shaved cheese to put on top of risotto or pasta dishes.

The Copenhagen is serrated on the leading edge of the slicer and smoothly cuts across a cheese block. The Monaco has a small hole (decoration?) in the center of the O of the word Boska on the side of the slicer. It does not appear to provide any functionality that I can tell.

In the first picture with the 3 slicers side-by-side, I've tried to display a comparison of what each slicer provides from thinnest to thickest slices of cheese. So, KBasix, Monaco, Copenhagen from left to right.

To clarify in the picture of the two Boskas, the Copenhagen is the one of the right.

Hope this helps you decide which one to buy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Way too small
Reviewed in the United States on 10 January 2019
The website description does not paint an accurate picture of the size of these mini-knives. I have average sized hands for a woman, and they feel like toys in my hand. The handle is so short it doesn't even span the width of my hand, which makes it awkward to apply leverage. The hollow handle makes them feel too light and clumsy. I feel these knives would be more of a danger than a useful tool.
