I've been a fan of the chocolate peanut butter clif bars for years, but the new version is horrifyingly bad. Did they bother to have anyone taste test these? They say, "FAVORITE FLAVORS FOR THE WIN: CLIF Builders protein bars have newly designed wrappers, but we didn’t change any flavor. They remain a tasty choice for anyone looking for a protein boost with a winning texture." Ha! What a lie.

They make it sound like they only changed the packaging, but the texture is different and, most importantly, they taste like sweet cardboard. The flavor is completely different and everyone who bought them on Amazon is just stuck with them. Save your money and buy from a different brand.

NEW FORMULA IS GROSS. Old formula of choc/PB was awesome. New one has no flavor. Tastes like eating cardboard. They downplayed both the chocolate and the PB flavor. Gross. Don’t buy. I has been eating the prior one for years.

I bought these, hoping they'd be like the bars I've grown to love!! But NO!!
The nutty part has fewer nuts and crumbles all over the place, while the protein part has little flavor, gooshy texture.
They have destroyed a truly remarkable bar!

I’ve been buying this chocolate peanut butter protein bar through a monthly subscription for over a year. The new protein bar is more expensive and tastes worse than the previous version. I am ok paying more money for better ingredients as advertised but not at the expense of flavor. Do not buy because there are very comparable and much better tasting protein options available.
