Our C4NGen surface is specially coated in pure PTFE to give it a super-slippery feel, but until you have outfitted your mouse with our PTFE accessories, you won't be able to unleash our pads' ultimate potential. Whether it be with Mouse Disks, Dots, Skates or Tape, making a PTFE-on-PTFE connection between your mouse and pad would definitely be a smooth move. Increases speed, agility, and accuracy.

It's hard for me to evaluate how smoothly it works due to the scraping. It does work better than my old mouse pads that were getting worn and bent and also scraping, so it is an improvement in that respect, but only just barely and the original pads lasted a lot longer than people say this stuff will last (the original pads lasted years. People say this lasts only a few months. I can't evaluate that yet as it has only been a few weeks.) No doubt it's easier with some mice than others, but I don't think people should have to deal with such a difficulty in the first place and for some mice like mine that aren't perfectly flat with smooth easy edges to work with it will always be especially difficult and worse than what you can probably do with generic pads.
Hopefully they make it flat again in the future. (Or, as I said, if it must be curved, curve inward instead. This would still be bad, but much less bad.)
I tested all 3 options on a G303 and the the new logitech Pro mouse, and ultimately I felt like the authentic replacements gave me more glide with better stopping power in games like Titanfall2 and unreal. I noticed less "grit" in the original replacements than with the hotline, though the teflon tape completely removed the "grit" feel. What i mean by grit is occasionally dust and small particles will get lodged in the crevices on the feet, and if you have smooth or textured pads you can feel it. The hotlines also seemed to wear out a bit faster than the originals, but were pretty close comparison wise.
As for the teflon feet I'd say if you're not a big gamer where you need major precision, that this is a much cheaper alternative and makes your mouse a bit smoother than the stock feet. If you are a gamer and play games that don't require major precision, like Paragon and Dota, but wear your feet out a lot, this is probably a nice alternative. It's easy to peel the tape off and replace it and it lasts awhile.
The original logitech replacements i ordered seemed to give me better accuracy and stopping power. (Stopping power means after you move the mouse very quickly how accurate it is when you stop on your target.)
You can flatten out the crimping significantly by taking a smooth object, such as the smooth body of a round pen and running it along the edges of the tape while applying pressure, to turn the edges back to flat. Even without doing that, though, the tape still worked great for me. My mouse had developed some kind of grittiness and did not slide smooth anymore despite thorough cleaning, but now with the tape it slides more smoothly than any mouse I have ever owned. Definitely would recommend to others, it is a really nice solution to the problem, and this amount of tape is enough to fix up many mice or to fix up one mouse many times.
