This Pivot bottle is nice. It’s made from 10% Renewable, Sustainable material. BPA, bps, and BPF free. Smell, odor resistant. I got Cloud color, it’s about 30% transparent.
The cap is plain. You have to unscrew to drink.
Both Eddy and Chute tops screw on top of this Pivot bottle, and I’d recommend a different cap.
My review for CamelBak Pivot Water Bottle - Echo Plastic 10% Renewable Plant-Based Material - BPA-Free - Easy Carry. Color Cloud.
Because this is close to the same dimensions as a 32 ounce stainless Hydroflask, I was able to use my silicone sleeve designed for hydroflask on the base of this bottle (pictured.). The added sleeve helps with grip since condensation on this bottle makes the non-porous bottle surface slippery. (If you search “hydroflask sleeve 32 ounce” or “boot sleeve” on Amazon, any of those will work/fit.)
The lid secures with 1.5 full rotations. This works well for me since it’s fast to access, but secure from leaks. The lopsided handle means I can clip to my bag with a carabiner and it does not slosh around much. I can hold the lid in the same hand I’m drinking from easily (see 2nd photo)
My only sadness about the Camelbak is that it does not fit in my car cup holder. But I still find myself reaching for it daily since the lid secures easily without leaks and this bottle is easy to carry around with the solid handle shape.
First the good -- it is a nice size and holds a sufficient amount of water. The handle is sturdy, comfortable to hold and I don't worry about it breaking. The bottle is leakproof and it is dishwasher safe, although I use it on the top rack. The wide mouth makes it easy to hand wash if needed and to load ice in.
What I don't like . . . it is slightly too wide to hold comfortably in my hand, and has a slick treatment making it even more difficult to not drop. I have large hands (5'11" woman) and don't normally have this issue. It doesn't fit in my cup holder. The handle doesn't have a clip. To drink out of the bottle you must twist off the cap, there is no spout, which makes it inconvenient to use when working out and requires the use of two hands .
Being made with 10% renewable plant based material doesn't really seem like a high amount to brag about.
In all honesty, I will stick with a different style of CamelBak. This is disappointing.
