Thank you again,
Your biggest military veteran fan 😂😂

have been purchasing different brands for years. Over the last few years I have spent several 100 dollars
on all kinds, expensive, gourmet, organic, the best they had to sell. I wasn't concerned too much about
the price, if it was good quality and had the taste that I was looking for.
Well, here comes the facts, truth and a pure clean honest review. This stuff is NOT greasy or in any way
wet, oily or lard like. It has the perfect texture and NOT soggy and in no way dry. It is absolutely PERFECT.
The flavor is just the right amount of ( heat ) spice. It is not salted to where it's not edible. This sausage
reminds me of the pioneer dried meat that they might have eaten back in the day. It's NOT like a Slim Jim that appears
to be made from chemistry 101. It DOES NOT burn you from your throat all the way out.
The price is very fair for the amount and quality, you get about 12 to 14 stick per package. The freshness
date is very acceptable and it arrived professionally packaged and in pristine condition. If you desire this
type of snacks, camping or hiking staple, then buy you several packages. I honestly believe you will been
very satisfied...

Just ordered 4 more bags, ( stocking up ). This makes 10 bags total for the past week. It's good stuff,
I wouldn't lie to you...

Flavor kind of makes me think of a synthetic material. It's not very meat-like to me. There is an unpleasant aftertaste. I was happy to be done with the package. I will never order this product again.
Old Wisconsin are far, far better and even Slim Jims are better than this.

I love beef sticks. Gourmet beef sticks have always lured me in with their dipping sauces and expensive price tags. I've tried many different beef stick brands over the year and they all have a few things in common: sogginess, softness, and lack of flavor.
I love a dry beef stick. One that doesn't taste or feel mushy. I also prefer beef sticks that don't have seed based spices in them. Cattleman's Cut Old Fashioned Smoke Sausages are not only dry and don't have seed based spices in them, but they also don't have that mushy, slimy feel that other beef sticks have.
In terms of taste these are the best beef sticks I've ever had. The flavor has a bit of a kick to it, but it's not spicy. I don't like spicy foods so I notice even a small kick in any food, but I don't mind the flavor of these beef sticks at all. I love that the taste is simple and reminds me of beef sticks from my childhood purchased at mom and pop stores.
Brands I've tried in the past:
Old Wisconsin Natural Cut Snack Sticks - mushy, gushy, little flavor
Tillamook Country Smokers - the teriyaki was my favorite beef stick until they changed the recipe
Slim Jims - way too greasy
Vermont Smoke and Cure Sticks - way too greasy and expensive for the small size
Jack Links Beef Sticks - mushy with little flavor
Old Trapper Deli Style Beef Sticks - slimy and mushy
Iowa Smokehouse Beef Sticks - too many spices containing seeds making for an awkward consistency
Cattleman's Cut Smoked Sausages are made in the USA and carry the Oberto brand. I used to enjoy Oberto's products but I haven't found one of their products I've liked in years so I was surprised to see their name on the back of the Cattleman's Cut Smoked Sausages package.

These are not mini sticks which is really nice. So many beef stick companies now use the thin tiny little sticks that barely satisfy your appetite so you end up eating multiple beef sticks. These beef sticks are large and they do satisfy your appetite. They are also addicting and it's hard to eat just one at a time.
The only downside to these beef sticks is that they have to be either consumed or refrigerated within 3 days of opening. No one in our household likes the beef sticks cold so we tend to binge eat them during the 3 days so that they don't go into the refrigerator. I wish they had a longer room temperature shelf life.
