The book covers the vast majority of the material on the exam. It's much more readable than the The Official (ISC)2 Guide to the CCSP CBK , which is very dry.
The other two sources I studied to prepare for the exam are the CSA Security Guidance for Critical Areas of Focus in Cloud Computing v4.0 and NIST SP 800-125A, Security Recommendations for Hypervisor Deployment. Both are available online for free. The CSA paper, in particular, fills out some of the gaps in the CCSP Official Study Guide.
I've seen other reviews that say the companion website doesn't work, but it worked fine for me, and the instructions on the back of the book took me to its registration page. As of early August 2017, there are 705 sample quiz/exam questions.
I previewed this book before buying and I had the impression it was very well researched and coherent from section to section and chapter to chapter. I must also so this is the second book I am buying for the same exam and the first one was a disaster. I mean a total disaster.
This book appears to have been very well researched and reviewed, not only for the content but also on how it is organized and presented to the reader for easy comprehension. The examples in the book help readers relate to what they might already know all in an effort to ease comprehension. The reader of this review may think I have been paid to write this but sorry I am just a buyer as you. I just tried reading the other so called "Official CCSP Guide" and could not read pass chapter one. I cursed on every page as it looked like a copy paste for fast publication.
I will update you as soon as I pass the certification exam.
Some test topics are nowhere in the book, but in the ISC practice tests? This means if you think you are prepared for the test after reading this book, you are greatly mistaken and going into the test blind. "Erasure coding is the practice of having sufficient data to replace a lost chunk in data dispersion, protecing agains the possiblity of a device failing while it holds a given chunk; parity bits serve the same purpose in the legacy RAID configuration."
