I'm caught up online, but had to buy this physical for the cool cover art. The story is pretty good. It's by the same author of fire punch, I wasn't a fan of that, enjoyed the concept but the characters didn't capture me. This series though has both an interesting cast and plot, rereading the series the beginning does seem a little weak compared to future stuff. The characters def get more interesting when developed.
I'm not a shounen person, well at least not a fan of most of them. Most shounen have an interesting premise but they turn uninteresting later down the line. Though this series has an interesting beginning and only gets better.

Also I'm usually skeptical of Viz translations. They erase honorifics and I find most fan translations manage to capture character voices better. But so far this one's not much of a problem.

Since reading the first chapter im the Shonnen Jump app, i immediately knew i was going to grab the first volume of Chainsaw Man. This Manga has everything from blood and gore, to comedy and character development. The story twists and turns mixed with danger peeking at every corner making it a thrill to read! The art is top tier and breathtaking in important moments leaving you eager to find out what happens next. Don’t take my word for it, see for yourself!
