Received an email back about the missing basket and found it to be clipped and rude. They said we will send the basket soon. No sorry about that or a date they would send it, just found the answer to be a little short.
On another note, the pedals on the bike are extremely stiff and hard to pedal. My child was having a hard time getting the bike to move so I gave it a try. It takes a lot of effort to move the pedals. We have tried WD-40 and they are still stiff.
The brakes were already well adjusted out of the box, which might be the most complicated thing on this bike. Surprisingly, I believe the training wheels were the hardest part to put together and adjust.
I love the design of this bike and I'm glad I got it for our kid. Hand brakes are worth learning how to use, even as a small child. It took him a few months but he's riding without training wheels now!
