There are some insights, it's obviously helpful to many people, but I read a lot of buzz words, truisms, and repetition in this book. It's far longer than it needs to be for such a superficial analysis. That's a great shame, since part of the art of communication is conciseness...
Communication is truly a life or death reality, and so for a better perspective I would recommend Verbal Judo: The Gentle Art of Persuasion. I found it to be a very clear, concise, and insightful perspective on communication.
