Inspirational and practical guide to leading with heart
Reviewed in Singapore on 15 March 2021
Simple, straightforward and authentic, I really enjoyed this book about how to become a more heart-centered leader in our world today. There's a great balance of personal stories, practical advice and reflections from other experts and thought leaders. It's also a beautiful book to read with space for for lots of note-taking. I recommend buying the hard copy and not the e-book so you can take advantage of the space for notes and reflection.

Thanks for sharing your amazing story! The things I liked the most in this book are the practical tips, techniques and the reflection questions at the end of each chapter. Your stories, lessons and ideas in this book will surely help many people to raise their game and elevate their success, even if they doubted themselves or had setbacks in the past. And your great sense of humour shines through in this book, as it did on stage (I saw you present your keynote speech 'Connecting the Dots to Grow Yourself and Your Business' in Singapore). Such a great read!

Life is never a straight line
Connecting the Dots is one of those books that translates very important messages in an enjoyable and engaging read. It is not about having 20 or 30 years of experience but what you do with it that's important, by connecting the dots. I kept the book by my bedside as it was a great read at the end of the day.

This book is a great example of the power of connecting the dots in your life. Shirley has done an epic journey and it's fascinating to read how the connections she made in her life helped her on that journey. By biggest takeaway from the book was to sit down and think about the people who have helped me come to where I am in life - to connect the dots of my own life. Connecting the dots is a powerful message. Get the book to be inspired to do the same for yourself.
