Great kit for a newbie

This kit was great. It came with everything I needed to bake my cake. I was DIYing my sons smash cake to save money since I lost my job with covid and bakeries are expensive for something they’re going to smash in a matter of seconds. So Instead I bought this and baking ingredients and did the smash cake for a fraction of what a bakery would’ve charged.

I did not use the spring board pans as I bought a quality pan for cake but, I did test them and they all leaked when I poured water in. However I had some extra cake batter and decided to like the heart pan with parchment paper. I baked the cake in the heart shaped pan liner with parchment and it worked just fine. The only thing is the parchment did not allow for smoothe edges. I would recommend this kit but either get parchment paper that will fit, or you will need to measure and cut, or just buy different pans. I used fat daddios pans.

The above cake was made using their angled spatula, the turntable, their piping bags, the coupler, only some piping tips to trial, as I had to purchase grass tips for the fur. The smoother for my crumb coat the cake leveler for my layers. Overall it has all you will need. I’m not a baker my amy means this was my first time baking something like this.

LOVE this kit! And had purchased another one prior to this 1 on accident. I was going to return the 1st 1 as I was ordering this 1. But decided to keep both because I have 2 locations to bake at.
This kit definitely has way more tools that are very useful and many ways. I love that it comes of the cake pans.

I just got my kit... Overall it looks nice. I like the tools available to give detail to future projects and the smallest ones came in a little cute bag. I did not like that the brush, tongs, etcetera seem like very small. I don't know if they are supposed to be like that for some reason or what. I love baking but I am not good at it and don't know much, I would have appreciated a little book of instructions and a few ideas or at least clarifications for the use of every item. Will update after using it for some time.

Update: I have only used a tip and a bag and just meddle with the rest of the items to see what they were and to take them out of their plastic bags. As I was transferring the items to my baking supplies drawers one of the whiskers completely fell apart, I haven't even use it yet! Now I'm afraid the rest of the items are going to have the same destiny and what is supposed to last, I only plan to use it sporadically, won't last at all! I am very disappointed.

Better Than I Imagined’

First of all, the packaging is beautiful. It makes for a perfect bridal shower, wedding, birthday, Chanukah or Christmas gift. I wish I had received it a week ago, I would have purchased it as part of cake-themed shower present for a cousin.

Second, the quality and quantity of this kit blew my mind. I had forgotten what was included (due to old age), so it was like opening Christmas gifts. I can’s wait to use this!

I would have preferred a set of round cake pans as I have many cheesecake pans, which the pans included are, and I wish I knew where to put everything! Wish they would come up with a plastic storage box to keep everything in.

I definitely recommend this for any baker. Just make sure they know what kind of pans these are as I was surprised to read so many reviews on how they leak. With regular batter, they will. You been to make easy cookie or graham cracker crumb crusts on the bottom. Make sure the pans lock properly. No biggie unless you don’t. LOL

UPDATE: I broke the bank and ordered one for my cousin’s shower gift from my husband. A tradition he began when her sister was getting married. I am still in awe over this kit!

This is a cute kids baking kit at best, but not for a beginner baker that’s serious about wanting to decorate a cake snd most definitely not for anyone who has ever baked a cake before. All the tools that came with it are about the same quality as my old easy oven I had as a child. The…don’t know what to call it…knife(?), was bent, warped, crooked. If I had a steady enough hand to easily fold/bend it back into shape, I could. There is NO way I would use that for anything that might require any sort of a straight cut. It would be a mess! Lol! I wouldn’t even buy this for my young niece who loves to bake.
I give it 2 stars only because I was able to get use out of the baking pans even though one of the spring pan bottoms fell out with batter inside. I rounded up from 1.5 stars I e we pile have given it.

Kind of a disaster. Buyer beware. You get what you pay for.

Small tips

While I have used many items in this set and it’s a good value, there are a couple of things that bug me. The tips are small and I’ve had to order some Wilton decorating tips to do larger rosettes. I haven’t used the cake pans but I can see how they might leak as they don’t look very sturdy. Overall you get what you pay for and many of the items are a better value here than purchasing separately

Cheap Set, even for beginners!

I purchased this boxed set as a beginner baker who had random things but wanted an entire set of tools. It arrived on time and was packaged neatly. I have used most of the items and some work great, some not so much. The issues I have are the spinning tray-It wobbled as I turned it with a cake on it, which made it very hard to decorate. When I was done with my cake, I noticed one of the locking tabs (pictured) was missing, making it lose. Another issue is one of the pans leaks Terribly! I used two sizes fine, but for the third I didn’t realize it until the first time I put batter in it, 5 mins into baking I smelled something burning and the batter was dripping down onto the bottom of my oven. Wasted a whole cake. The tips seem to work well so far, the icing bags are a little thin.

Good set for beginners. I got brave and decided to take a stab at making my first cake for my daughter's birthday (photo attached). The quality is okay, not great, not terrible, and for the most part gets the job done acceptably for a newbie. The leveler was bent and unusable. The turn table is all plastic so it's not a smooth spin. There are some cookie tools and icing tips and a couple of other tools that would've been nice to have some 101 info for use. All in all, I was proud of my first go round and this set was a greater starter set.

Like seven things were missing from the box the pans leak it’s just a waste of your time do not waste your money on these peoples products go find something else go find something better it is legit a waste of money they sent me two kits the first kit the pans are leaking and they were missing three things and then they sent me a second one the second kit the pins are still leaking and then it was missing seven things like what the heck what is the point of me wasting my money on your stuff just to get nothing out of it I don’t feel like I should have to pay $30 for that trash the piping bags are great and so are the chips in the Spinney table that was about it
