Xvive U2:
Pros: Fantastic range; Dual USB charging; No dropouts
Cons: Adds slight distortion, High pitched squeal when guitar boost circuit activated; Battery life about 3 hours; On/Off buttons and channel buttons confusing; Channel switching awkward and time consuming; feels a little cheaply made; Slight Latency.
Recommended for: No hesitation using it live with guitars with no additional electronics. Would need to recharge during breaks.
Donner DWS-3:
Pros: Fantastic value; Excellent sound quality, No issues with guitar electronics, Includes carry bag; Battery life 5 hours; Easy to operate and turn on/off; Easy to change channels; Zero latency; Built in boost circuit
Cons: Only one USB connector; Poor range; Some dropouts; Muffled sound when antenue touches something; Has external antenna
Recommended for: Amazing sound quality at an amazing price. Would recommend for home use and guitars with active electronics.
NUX B-2:
Pros: Beautiful box and presentation (Apple like); Great price; Great design and quality; Nearly identical to Xvive, but better design; Easy to operate and switch channels - no guessing; No interference; No perceived latency
Cons: Only one USB charging connector; High pitched squeal when guitar boost circuit activated.
Recommended for: This would have been the one to keep if not for the issue with guitar electronics.
Boss WL-20:
Pros: Everything; Superior design - fit and finish; No on/off or channel selecting - all automatic. Just plug it in and unplug it (no guessing); Charging system (both charge at once with one USB connection); Excellent sound quality; Low latency; No issues at all with guitar electronics on boost circuit
Cons: Priced higher than others; Range not as good as Xvive, but same as others; Ugly box and presentation; slightly muffled sound when touching the transmitter; Manual.
Recommended for: Everything. This is the one I have kept.

Nice and sturdy although I can hear the 2 buttons rattle if I shake the TX and RX hard next to my ear. Normal use should not be an issue and a little shoe goo would work fine if you want. They claim 6 hours of battery and as long as it is double the old DWS02 of 2 hours, this will be perfect for the price. If I experience any issues with the battery or if they last less than 4 hours, I'll do an update. Otherwise this is a done deal.
It even works with Amp selectors....There was no difference no matter where I plugged in the RX. There was no difference in TX orientation either.

First, it is packaged very professionally. I was impressed just opening the box. The transmitter and receiver are well made and very simple to use. There is a manual, but most users will not need it. They both came with enough charge to do a demo right out of the box.
I tried the system with three different guitars. First, a Gibson Les Paul Studio, running through a pedal board and into a mixer. No latency or sound coloration perceptible. Next, an Ovation VXT hybrid with an internal pre-amp powered by a 9 volt. Again, no issues. Finally, I plugged in my acoustic which has a Fishman Rare Earth Blender (condenser mic and humbucker with internal pre-amp.) I expected problems, but everything funtioned great, including the mic!
This system greatly simplifies my gigging setup. I'm excited about not tripping over cables anymore. I also use an Audio Technica headset wireless with no interference. It's easy to use, well built, and works as good as units costing hundreds more. I highly recommend this!

Straight out of the box, the units powered on with one press of a button and instantly connected to each other. That was it! No fiddling with anything. I tested it in my house and was able to get about 20 feet of distance before it started cutting out. That was having to go through a wall, so you'd probably get a little more distance with an unimpeded straight shot to your amp or pedalboard.
Charging time seems to be an hour or two. After a full charge I left them on for 3 hours and returned to find them still working. About 3 hours later I returned and they were dead. So battery life is somewhere between 3 and 6 hours. I did not notice any latency or change in tone. The units are really light so no noticeable weight is added to the guitar.
So far so good. These do exactly what you want them to do and they're simple to use. Next up is the true test - the stage. I will update this review after a few gigs.
