Well I wore this thing for 3 straight days of powerwashing. By the time I finished the first day, I was caked in mud, I had to have my wife spray me down with the power washer before I could take the suit off. It kept all the gunk off my body. I hung it in the garage overnight, slipped it on the following 2 days until I was done, kept me clean on the inside while I blasted all the grime off every surface I could reach. See attached picture my wife took of me in all my muddy glory.
The next day I went under the deck to clean out the junk that accumulated over the years, I filled 8 garbage bags with dead leaves, dead insects, grease, mold, cobwebs, droppings etc.I
Finally, I wore it again the next day while I disposed of a patch of poison ivy we discovered in the backyard. I had my wife hose me down and then finally disposed of the suit.
So now when I see these suits I am filled with a sense of achievement, but also pain as that week was the most manual work I have done in years and fear that my wife will buy another suit and nudge me towards some more work that she wants done.
I used this with protective goggles and a disposable N95 particulate mask. Vacuumed every nook and cranny of the basement, bagged up the vacuum bag, removed my cat's litter boxes, bagged up all the litter and cleared the floor. Then sprayed the entire floor thoroughly. This suit was great, no rips, no loose elastic and it kept me protected for the dirty job I was doing. I would order again.
I'm glad I ordered the medium and not the small. The small might have fit me a little snug (like it appears in the picture), but I wanted a looser, baggier fit, and that's what I got with the medium. Loose enough to wear over whatever I want, but not so big that I'm swimming in it.
And I ordered this for probably the ODDEST reason ever: a mosquito suit. I live in the Gulf Coast region, so for 6 months of the year we are overrun with clouds of mosquitoes. As soon as you step outside, you're mobbed. That leaves two choices: bug spray or wearing long-sleeved heavy clothes in 95 degree weather. I hate reeking of bug spray all day and winter clothes in July are just unbearable. So I'm REALLY glad I stumbled across this jumpsuit. It's perfect for quick trips out to the garden, since I can zip it up over whatever I'm wearing - tank top, pjs, whatever (lol!). I don't get bitten through the tyvek material, and so far it has been really durable. I don't use it when I'm out there digging or doing any intensive work - just for trips when I want to pick dinner or do light weeding - but it saves me from having to slather on bug spray. I know sooner or later I'll probably get little rips or tears, but that's what duct tape is for!
Excellent product, affordable, and very durable for a disposable product. I can see how this would be really useful in a LOT of situations!
