I bought this shelf to imitate making a tree in the corner of a room, along with a wall decal, also purchased on Amazon. It worked perfectly for what I needed. I will say, I am only displaying one picture frame on each shelf, I'm not sure how it would be to use the unit for books. The ledges themselves are pretty small, so you would probably only fit more narrow chapter books, or like a baby board book size. The frames on display are 4x6 and 5x7. The 5x7 are a tight fit, and they kind of just lean Rather than using the prop on the back of the frame. I am very happy for what it is. Assembly was fast and easy. I actually put it together myself and am not the handiest person, so it is simple, and my husband hung it. Total time to build and install, less than a half hour, if you discount distractions/finding supplies/breaks/time for arguing/etc. I give 4 stars for durability because I'm not sure how durable it really is. I wouldn't trust putting much weight on it. Over time I want to decorate with something besides the frames, but they're fine for now.

The end product is AMAZING!! I love the addition to my room and how it fills in the blank corner in between my tapestries. However when building it no matter how much I screwed the screws into the pieces labeled “A” they would NOT tighten. That made hanging it up by myself a struggle cause the shelf was folding in on itself and was all crooked but I made it work and it straightened out when I screwed it into my wall. It looks amazing!!! Definitely worth the hassle in the end.

This shelf is great. It was easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy in the wall. they look clean and modern. The pre-drilled holes made it easy to assemble. The package came everything needed, even the Allen wrench to assemble it with and drywall anchors and mounting screws. They are great for the price.
