Step 1 Soak in any temperature water for at least one minute or until saturated.	Step 2 Twirl, wave or snap to activate.	Step 3 Place the cooling towel on one of the major pulse points. These areas contain large blood vessels near the skin’s surface that regulate body temperature.	Step 4 The towel will provide cooling as long as it’s wet. To reactivate, repeat steps 1-3.


Machine Wash Machine wash with mild detergent and like colors.	Air Dry Air drying recommended. Towel will dry very stiff but is easily softened with water.	Storage Towel can be stored once dry. Storing wet in a sealed container not recommended. Rewet to soften.

We live in Florida and I had the bizarre urge to go to Disney World in mid July! Ok, this is crazy because if you have ever been to Florida in mid summer, you know how incredibly HOT and HUMID this state is. Like ridiculously hot. But I planned ahead and purchased this cooling cloth and another brand (Frogg Toggs.) I purchased specifically based on colors. I thought gray was less obnoxious and a good color for my husband. I thought all cooling cloths are created equal...I was wrong. These work the same as the Froggs Toggs, you wet, wring out excessive amounts of water, shake and then they are cool, wrap/drape around neck. They do get cool and they do work, HOWEVER, the other brand (FT) was remarkably cooler than this one from Ergodyne. My husband and I were both fighting over who got to use the other cooling rag...because this one didn't pass muster in comparison. Again, this one works, but not as well....it didn't get as cool or stay as cool as the FT. This one cost the same as the FT, so it isn't even like I bought a "discount" item. They are both brand name products that are priced comparably. If I didn't have the other brand to compare on the same day in the same heat conditions, perhaps I would have thought this one was a 5 as it did still help, BUT the Froggs Toggs was certainly the better buy.

This was a repeat order based on previous satisfaction with product. I stocked up for increasing heat wave pattern in So-Cal. On the day after a mail carrier died on duty in a nearby location that reached 106, our own mail carrier expressed grief over the loss and concern for their own safety going forward in this weather. They said they were drinking water but had trouble cooling down during their shift. I took out my cooling towel and said, "You need one of these," got it wet, and told them to keep it. The next day they told me how well it was working for them and what a difference it makes when they wrap the wet cooling towel around their head under their hat. I was surprised that it works underneath a hat but their uniform hat has air holes for circulation. I'm so happy to hear it made their job easier and healthier. The post office should pass these things out to all carriers. It's getting hotter all the time and they're either out in it or in their metal trucks, which must be like the sweatbox in "Coolhand Luke."

Keeping You Cooler for Hours!

These cooling towels work well, especially during our Texas summers! They help dissipate perspiration from your body while helping to keep you cool. The cooling feature is just ok, but the product does a great job drawing heat from your body for several hours. I use mine while gardening and playing softball. The towel's length is long enough to tie or fit inside your shirt collar (I use mine around my neck, but I've seen others use it as a head bandana). It's also handy as a face wipe for those times when you don't have access to anything else nearby. These are easy to launder and maintain; keep in mind they arrive slightly damp, but when it is completely dry it's as stiff as a board. It's a good idea to have a place to hang it when not in use. I love that it doesn't require cold water to work - just regular tap water. You can wring out excess water easily so you won't feel like you have a heavy, dripping towel on you. In fact, it's very light-weight. I've even bought a few for friends and they all agree it's a huge help in the hot sun!

I'm training for a Spartan race and hiking was a big part of my training plan. I have used this on a few hikes now and it works pretty well for about 3-4 hours without re-wetting then it starts to dry out quickly and gets really stiff. Since I've been hiking longer and longer distances it has been nice to help with cooling and then I don't need to consume as much water on the hike. But on one hike at hour 5 I ran out out of water and then it was more of a hindrance than an asset. There wasn't anywhere on the trek to re-hydrate it so it got stiff and i didn't have a good place to store it.

Overall I think I will use it on hikes that I know will last under 4 hours or will have a water source somewhere along the way.

You have to understand Florida heat to understand this review.
Today was 95 degrees and sick humidity. Sweat doesn't evaporate, it just soaks your clothes. Just mowing the lawn brings you close to heatstroke. I'm usually wiped the rest of the day. Looking for a little relief, I ordered this.
First, this is in no way cloth. It feels like textured gel. It's pliable until wet the first time. When it dries it is stiff.
Today I had yard work to do, got it wet per instructions and draped it around my neck, tucked into the top of the my shirt.
I did fence repair then up on the roof to clear debris. After, I raked the debris from the yard.
Typically, I would be a wreck after this. Make no mistake. I was hot and sweating but I wasn't wiped out. I did resoak it a few times. Then I went out and pulled up sod, raked it away and at that point I started overheating.
I'd worked in the yard for three and a half hours. After a shower, I'm tired but not dead.
Normal yard work is 1 to 2 hours. 3.5 hours speaks volumes about the towel.
I think anywhere else in the US this would keep you temperate and comfortable. Here it keeps you alive. That's worth 5 stars.
