The author claims that facts don't care about your feelings, yet uses your feelings to sell his interpretation of some facts.
The title of the book would better be "My feelings will interpret the facts for you"

Am going to display my ignorance right at the beginning of this review. This author's name was familiar to me but I had never read any of his books or columns. I bought this so I could read through his columns dated from 2016 to 2019. And, so glad that I did...
The book covers diverse topics including this past Presidential election (and the campaign), as well as the Presidency. I was particularly interested in the portions on the media and the First Amendment.
Have put this author on 'follow' so I won't miss the next one he writes.
Thought provoking and insightful...excellent read for me.
Most highly recommended.

Shapiro Has No Idea What a Fact Is, But He’s Great at Propaganda
12 July 2020 -
Published on Amazon.com
Facts are unbiased truths that showcase both sides of an issue—even if they don’t put ”your side” in the best light. You take yourself out of the mix and let the data showcase what the facts are. Shapiro is pure, pulsating nerve-ending here, with no logic and pure bias throughout. I was intrigued by the title but left disappointed by Shapiro’s ineptitude at giving me a book that lived up to its title.

A Compilation of Ben’s Most Pertinent Thoughts on a Myriad of Topics in One Comprehensive Book...

...What More Can We Ask For?
From the eloquent, timely manner that Ben Shapiro chose to introduce this unique collection of his ruminations, to the wide variety of issues included in each of his informative columns, demonstrate both his ability to connect us all to the big picture; such an essential viewpoint these days in order to better understand what we are all facing in our nation, and by extension, world—and keep it interesting while doing so. George Bernard Shaw spoke of “history repeating itself”—and in some cases, like the completely unnecessary and some might say avoidable division we have experienced these last few years, most of us would not want that to happen. Ben Shapiro dove right in to begin this collection back in the summer of 2017 from a column describing the horrific events in Charlottesville, Virginia where an innocent life was tragically lost, but also served as a catalyst for the negative reverberation that had the potential to destroy many more lives to follow. This particular incident was intentionally fabricated, and to this day, crucial facts omitted by the activist-inspired propaganda press whose primary motivation seems to divide, then continue to keep us apart.
Whether you feel that everything we in civilized humanity collectively believed is slipping away right before our eyes, beyond our control, or whether you are just beginning to notice the tangible threats to the very core of our integrity, reading this collection of perceptive observations along with Ben Shapiro’s informed ideas of actual solutions has the potential to ease your mind and provide the hope we have been pursuing since we initially observed our world so rapidly changing.
As I read Ben Shapiro’s forecasted commentary from the events between 2017 through 2019, it is impressive as to how omniscient he was since much of what was written can still be considered applicable to this day. While many of us now realize that regardless of what our president says or does, there will be an immediate knee jerk reaction that paints him in a negative light, along with a dissection of his every move, while it matters not what his intended strategy might have been. It seems like the hate-filled obstructionist political party would much rather insult and/or blame Donald J. Trump than even come one step closer to achieving world peace or finding a cure for our deadliest diseases or most challenging issues that affect us the most.
While reading Ben’s articles from two years ago, it was almost impossible to ascertain the difference between then and now. The same players are still trying to overturn the 2016 election that did not go their way, and they continue to count on the tweets or other behavior of our president to come up with something—anything—to take him down. So many of us look for those with a rational thought process who base their conclusions on facts rather than blind allegiance to a “cause” like the self-proclaimed “Resistance” which ended up being a group that advocates anything against our elected 45th president (hence, our nation)-even the measurable, historic progress he is obviously making. We seek out any material that can help us rationalize or navigate the murky, choppy waters that do not often align with the reality that is appearing right before our eyes. During this search for unadulterated truth, I was delighted to have found Ben Shapiro. And more specifically, this collection of his work that spans tumultuous, unsettling, and uncertain times between the first days of Trump’s presidency to moments as recent as this past summer of 2019-the origin of the latest scheme to take down a president whom some government officials do not seem to believe their candidates can beat in a fair election next November.
One unique quality of Mr. Shapiro is his initial skepticism about this different president-an out-of-the-box thinker often misunderstood and confused with someone who has no plan, no substance, and flies by the seat of his pants. One can almost observe in real time the misgivings that Ben used to have in regard to President Trump, as progress and successful plans of action unfolded and transformed into an admirable confidence that at the very least, a discovery that maybe this Trump guy knows what he is doing and plans to follow through with the promises he made to his voters-which most likely surprised our humble author. Since these articles began soon after Donald Trump took office, it is interesting to see the thought process of someone as sharp and quick as Ben is, and as confident in his political analysis of events and extensive knowledge of history (actual history, not the version rewritten by those who do not want our children to learn about in order to start from scratch and make some folks sound better than they were-or worse, remove the bad actions by some, which would demonstrate to our kids that humans are unable to evolve or learn from our mistakes, but I digress), while he shares with his readers his assessment of how events shape the actions and reactions of our duly elected leader of the free world. It seems that Mr. Shapiro became pleasantly surprised by the many achievements made by this administration which he includes in detail, and this development shines through in this interesting compilation of work.
We truly need to continue to support champions of free speech like Ben Shapiro, and I highly recommend this book if you are interested in recent history as well as the story that exists behind the scenes; the one so rarely heard since our airwaves are flooded with vitriol, negativity, and versions of reality so far from the truth that this refreshing selection of articles is one we can be proud to share with loved ones in the form of a gift that keeps on giving.
America was built on a foundation of free speech, liberty in personal choices and actions, and freedom from governmental tyranny and control of fellow human beings. Sadly we have seen aspiring government “leaders” inform us that they want to dictate what we can and cannot eat (say goodbye to steak, straws, and large sodas), or how to behave, what we are permitted to say, or even how to say it. They want to fine us for addressing another person in a way that has the possibility to offend them, and give those offended people permission to falsely accuse another with zero due process. The line is blurred and has changed from important “women’s health issues” to now allowing and sometimes forcing a doctor to end the life of a newborn baby for reasons no longer having to do with the well-being of anyone involved. The absurd list goes on and on. But regardless of the hypocrisy we witness, the double standard we see occurring daily, the barrage of bullying toward those who dare to disagree with the violently forced beliefs that threaten the very core of the foundation of what our great nation was built upon, it still feels like there is no hope in making a positive difference and getting through to this obstinate bunch who are sadly brainwashed in favor of those so desperate to control the masses. As Ben so aptly puts it, “In today’s political environment, your feelings about Trump actually have an impact on how people feel about you.” Sad, but true (and a good thing that “Facts don’t care about your feelings”). I, for one, have been on the receiving end of this unfortunate misjudgment and wish that those jumping to conclusions about our integrity and character would understand that we are concerned for their welfare. Maybe reading more (or any) pieces like this one might help them see this more clearly.
If you are tired of witnessing a media complicit in such unwarranted, and completely avoidable division between the amazing people of America and beyond, all while attempting to distract a president who is not only willing and able to work with both sides of the aisle and listen to all opinions in order to help the great citizens of this country, reading the works of Ben Shapiro provides the ability to help his readers discover our own voice and be strong and confident enough to know that we are not alone in possessing the desire to protect our beautiful home from further harm.
Even if you are already understandably glued to Ben’s daily informative podcasts, or believe you might have read all there is on the subject, including some of the very columns that appear in this book, I highly recommend that you pick up a copy of “Facts Don’t Care About Your Feelings” and feel it’s power in defining the overall picture and better yet, the necessary emphasis on our need to connect the dots to ensure that, in some cases, history does not, in fact, repeat itself. It is the least that we can do in order to preserve the solid foundations our beloved nation was built upon. Our freedom of speech is too much in jeopardy to avoid whatever we can do to participate in the discussion and seek any possible viable solutions-for the sake of our country, and the sake of our children.
I was happy to review this interesting book of compiled articles and prior to reading it, thought I had heard all that Ben Shapiro had to say on the multitude of subjects (and he covers them all). Quite the opposite happened. I got halfway through and discovered that I learned so much I wanted more, so joined the membership that allows access to all of his material. I am not an employee or salesperson of his company, just a very grateful reader and know that you will not be disappointed when you pick up a copy of this book. This work is as relevant today as it was when Ben Shapiro first wrote it. Maybe moreso. He does not just provide explanations about why we have come to this current unsettling position, but he shares viable solutions that we can use by working together in unity to bring us back to the core of the great nation and home that we can be proud to leave to the next generations to come.
As Ben Shapiro so eloquently sums it up: “Politics should not be allowed to override basic human decency.” I could not agree more. Thank you, Ben, for your hard work and devotion to helping us improve our collective well-being.
