The images are fine. I’m very concerned about the toxic plastic smell that lingered for over a month now. It’s so strong and intoxicating that I’ve chosen to not have my child play with them. It smells about 4 times worse than that new vinyl shower curtain smell.

Cute photos, but not all are representative of the targeted words.7 December 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
The weight of the cards is OK. Could be a little thicker/heavier for toddlers. They're colorful and the photos are cute. The price is fair. Some of the photos are not representative of the targeted words. For example, there is a photo of a donut on a plate to teach the word "more" and a glass of soda with a straw and bubbles to represent "cold." I've been looking for a good set of first words photos to give parents for home practice. This one is okay.

Definitely not "first" words24 January 2020 - Published on Amazon.com
The cards include a lot of verbs and adjectives that could be very confusing to a baby learning their first words. I had assumed the words would be ones that translate well into pictures, but unfortunately the vast majority do not. I can't think a better way to confuse my little guy by showing him a picture of two girls side by side, but only one is called "girl" and one is called "up," or a picture of a woman who isn't me labeled "mommy," or better yet, a picture of a donut labeled "more." I also don't like that some of the pictures have distracting patterns around and behind them. I'm looking for clear, simple photographs to teach my baby about the world around him, and these are certainly not that. Will be returning and searching for some true "first words" elsewhere.

Great for development and he is already picking up and adding more words.22 August 2018 - Published on Amazon.com
These are great. Love that they are front and back. Only a few seemed a little off trying to do the opposite of what was on the other card but I think that may just be my opinion and others will like it. I have an 18th month old and we can get through the whole set and keep his attention. They are not super thin but are not ones I will let him just have with out supervision otherwise they will be destroyed.
