Unbelievably good for climbing in. I swear I can retire my Boreal Jokers now, maybe not my La Sportiva Geniuses. The fit is slightly large. I am usually size 10 in shoes but read that these fit large. Recommendation was to go down half a size for normal fit, full size for climbing fit. I tried to order 9 for a but got it wrong and ended up with 8.5. My big toe is RIGHT IN the end, but I can climb on ridiculously small edges for a walking shoe (<5mm anyone?) using the 'climbing zone' under the toes, and the stealth rubber is great.
My only quibble is that 5.10 used a very non-aggressive tread for the rest of the shoe. This gives a large surface area contact when moving on rock, so thats great, but it really only offers passable grip on wet grass/mud. I have a pair of Inov8 Trail Talon 250s, by no means the most aggressive or legendary shoe in the Inov8 range for grip, but they are FAR better on mud and grass than these 5.10s. Take care walking on steep descents and heathery muddy edges of the gritstone crag in these. They will slip suddenly on wet mud without due care. Their limit on this kind of terrain is much lower than the limit in more aggressive shoes.

The definitive mtb/climbing shoe. Super tough, super comfy and mega grippy on pedals. Look cool as hell and sizing is perfect. I fit a snug 9 in trainers and 9.5 in boots. 9.5 fits perfect.

The best Approach shoe on the market. Big improvement on previous model which had great grip but too much lateral roll for climbing.

The only scrambling and approach shoe to wear in my opinion. Rubber is so sticky. On to my third pair of tennis by now.

Really love these shoes. I have been after a pair for a long time, and they haven't disappointed. Great fit.
Also LD mountain centre gave great service. When the first pair were to large. They quickly changed them no questions asked. Very professional.
Thanks
