Only one defect: the sole rubber consumes very quickly if you use it extensively (3/4 times a week). I have used them for less than two months and the shoes' tip is already rounded and has lost most of the grip.
However, I have the bad (unconscious) habit of dragging my feet on the wall when doing hard routes. Probably if one is super careful not to do this, they may last longer.

To be honest, these are not going to work for anybody unless they have incredibly NARROW feet. Like these shoes are NOT made for normal human feet.
Picture next to the profile of my bf’s foot to show how narrow the shoe is. It’s about half as wide as a normal foot. Sending them back today.

I also know they would stretch about 1/3rd a size after good use. I have had these for over a month now and use them 3 to 4 times a week. They work very well. Very pleased. Just be prepared to make a few returns before you find the right size. Runs extremely small.

Size: My street shoes size is 7 and I initially bought size 8 and 8.5 based on the reviews, but they turned out to be too big! I ended up with 7.5 and it feels just snug enough with no curled toes, I might even consider size down to 7 considering these shoes might stretch out half a size after a while. But I’m used to tight shoes so if this is your first pair of climbing shoes, I’d say size up 0.5-1 size. (For reference, I wear 36.5 in 3 different La sportiva models)
Fit: I’m surprised that some reviews mentioned the shoes is for narrow feet only. I have wide roman feet and this shoes fit just right in width for me. The heel is a bit lower than the la sportiva shoes I have, and it takes me a while to get used to it. But it hugs my narrow heels just right.
Performance: The rubber is sticky and reliable on smaller footholds, but I’m not confident to try them on tiny footholds yet. The flat bottom makes it easy to smear on the wall, and the extra rubber on both sides would definitely make them durable for edging too. I also like that the heels are almost entirely wrapped in rubber, it makes me feel very secure doing heel hooks.
Value: $50 is a great deal for this beginner to intermediate shoes!
