Please think twice about buying this product or any rope product

Our dogs loved this toy, but shredded it almost immediately. We noticed some of the rope had been eaten and digested. We think that this rope caused a blockage in our dog's intestines and by the time the vet did x-rays it was too late. I believe this rope to be a serious hazard to your dogs...especially bigger dogs who are strong enough to shred this quickly. Please think twice about buying this product or any rope product if you are unable to monitor you dog with it 100% of the time.

When the magical Amazon delivery fairy came by with the big brown box with this thing in it, I was excited. Then I was confused. I had ordered a rope toy for my puppy, but was holding something that was nearly as heavy as my puppy herself. Once I opened the box, I couldn't help but to call my husband and tell him that I had just received a mysterious object that should never, ever be swung around in the house, for the possibility of broken bones and shattered appliances.
Once I lugged it home, my husband's jaw dropped. We both stared at it, speechless and dazed, for a few more minutes.
To say that this thing is HUGE... is an understatement.
If you're looking for a small, cute toy for your puppy to toss around, this is not it. This is the most heavy duty rope "toy" I've seen in my life, and it's absolutely marvelous. My husband often wraps one end around his arm/shoulder and walks around the house as our energetic German Shepard baby either chases him, jumping up and down for a bite, or just being dragged around like a puppy swiffer.
It's sturdy, tightly-knotted, long (great for switching things up so the puppies don't get bored), and looks good while it's doing its thing.
Get one. If you don't have a dog, get one anyway. It's great for who's-doing-the-dishes-tug-of-war.
If my review has helped you in any way, please let me know, or hit "Yes" under this review. Thank you! :)

Destroyed in minutes

My dogs; English Bull terriers, shredded this rope within 20 mins. It is not made to withstand sharp teeth and comes apart very easily. If you are not able to monitor your dogs and make sure they do not swallow the loose pieces of string that come off, do not buy this product!! Too big of a chance of the material causing a blockage and needing surgery

tore off fibers and ingested / digested fibers

within minutes the dog was tearing fibers off of it and chewing fibers. then i found fibers in his dog poop. 75 pound Rottweiler. The same thing has not happened with other rope products.
I'm updating this review because I got another one of these by accident just because it was $4.39 as an add on item. I am going to pay attention to not get rope products from this company. (now 90 pound Rottweiler will chew knot into fibers within 10 minutes and then it's the same story with ingesting rope and it messing with his poop.
As far as I can tell from the Amazon answers this is manufactured in Mexico or China which concerns me because what are they using as dyes? What is really in this material that I am letting my dog chew on for hours?
As a solution at least for this one we can do tug of war sessions and I'll let him have it for a few minutes as a reward for "winning" tug of war. but I am not comfortable with my dog chewing on this at all as a chew toy because of above-mentioned issues.
Update: I got a second one of these by accident as an add-on item and same thing except my dog is getting smarter and figuring out that if he noticeably eats it, I throw it away. (see picture) So now I notice that there are fibers gone from the knots he is chewing on and there can be only one place that these "cottonblend" polyester probably made in China fibers in his digestive system. which all seems bad to me.
I recently went back to a rope advertised as 100% cotton that he doesn't seem to eat as much or at least it lasts longer and I wish someone could make a simple dog rope made out of 100% natural hemp.
