This book is a feast for the eyes. The layout is beautiful and the photos are lush and vibrant. However, the font and color choices can make this book difficult to read, and there appear to be a few minor errors with cook times and instructions. The book also wastes no time explaining fundamentals and presumes advanced knowledge of pastry technique and equipment.
There are many photos of the famous fruit throughout, but the book only has two recipes for full fruit sculptures (lemon and hazelnut), though the tartlet recipes make use of other fruits. Overall very aesthetically pleasing, but don’t expect to come away knowing all the secrets.
