So I ordered a more expensive knee brace/support. The swelling my body has (and weight gain) meant I could not even put it on! I have to save more money now so I couldn't even re-order the expensive brace in a larger size.
Enter this beauty....I had worn cheap, drugstore braces and since this one is just a step or two up from those, I decided to get it.
It has really worked. It isn't as complicated as the expensive brace was (you needed a manual to handle that one, lol) and it has really aided with walking, running, etc.
I may still get an expensive one, until I get my surgery. But for now, it has worked fine. It keeps a lot of pain at bay.
May I also recommend taking CELLFOOD or Cell Power drops daily to aid wit the aches and pains and Voltaren gel (if you can get some or have it prescibed)?
Since I wear this over my tights, the top does slip down and I have to pull it up once or twice during a run, no big deal to me. This is a sleeve that you have to slip your foot through then pull up to desired spot. There is a velcro closure on the top and bottom to secure the brace in place. All parts of the brace are soft, no hardware. I wash this, with the velcro fastened, in a delicates laundry bag, in my washing machine on the regular cycle at least weekly and have done this for about 5 weeks, no problems and no hand washing for me.
BTW, I wear this for pain control mainly. I have a partially torn lateral meniscus that aches a mile into my runs and I found this brace really diminishes that pain, although doesn't remove it entirely.
