I got this for my son's 6th birthday, and we've had the game for about a month. We've played this game at least once every single day since then. In particular, I'm one of those hapless Texans who lost their electricity for almost 3 days during the deep freeze of 2021. We got through it by playing board games. Some of the board games we played I am SO sick of. If I never play another round of Dungeons & Dragons: The Adventure Begins, it'll be too soon. But even after playing this game 5-10 times a day for 3 days, and continuing to play it every day afterwards? I'm not sick of this game. This game is still fun. It's fun for adults, and my son LOVES it. It got us through the deep freeze. HIGHLY recommended!
I got this for my 4yo for Christmas and it has been a big hit. It's easy enough for him to play - most 3yos can probably manage as well, provided an older child or adult is playing to help with the setup. It's MUCH more interesting than Candy Land type games and it's consistently short (perfect for a little one's short attention span), so adults can play without wanting to tear their hair out from boredom. Excellent game.
what I like the most about this game is there is no rivalry at all. You are together in this against fox. we have lot's of board games and sometimes while having fun one looses and and it brings frustration, anger to the younger ones(kids hate loosing to their siblings) but with this one we are one in it. the pieces are good. At first it might be hard to understand how to play but check out videos on you tube or here. it's actually pretty easy.
I was looking for a family game that is goal oriented vs competitive against each other. Specifically, a board game that my 5 year old can play. And this game delivers. The kids like to look up the clues. I also like that the combinations of game plays provide an ample diversity not to get bored easily. Each game the suspect is different. It's a favorite.
We’ve been playing everyday multiple times since we opened it. My 5yr old loves this game. Once you figure out the rules which takes extra read thru a few times, the game is very engaging and fun. The game board and pieces are sturdy, the drawings on the cards and board are playful and allows you to discover new things each time. Highly recommend.
Bought the game for my 5-year-old daughter and my 7-year-old niece. On first blush the instructions may seem intimidating, but do not be fooled by all the pieces and parts that come with the games. In the end it's simple... you look for clues each turn or you turn over suspects. The games is great for little ones since it's cooperative and it's all players against the fox. It's an inclusive game that is easy to pick up, good for both young and old, and possessed of a charming aesthetic.
I'd encourage anyone on the fence about buying to check out some of the Youtube videos about the game. They echo a lot of the same sentiments I've laid out here but some of them give a tutorial as well, which only adds to the game's accessibility, especially if watched along with the kids.
My 4.5 y.o. daughter loves this game. It's easy to learn, and it's interesting even for parents (I guess because our kid is enjoying this game). Good quality. The decoder is the favorite part of the game for our kid. Unfortunately, the box came damaged, and the board has a peeled off square right in the middle
I got this for my 4y/o for Christmas and it is loved by him and all my kids up to age 10. Our family really love this game. We greatly enjoy letting the kids work together and the “decoder”. It is also great for single play as I have found my some playing it alone before. We have recommended it to friends as well.
And this is an excellent game! It makes you think, has an element of surprise and suspense that although present, so not at all overshadow the joy, and is quick to complete! Easy to pull out and play a round any time. Very satisfying, too. My kids are 9 & 11 years snd they both enjoy it.
