To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we do not use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Super fun combat, fun stealth, good story length, side stories for side characters, plenty of other side quests, the mythic tales are awesome, characters you can get attached to, fairly easy platinum, no garbage trophies, you will never be screwed over by RNG (e.g tax collectors that you need to catch for a trophy but never spawn) or unnecessarily specific requirements (e.g needing to do specific moves in a specific order without any indication as to which moves you need to use when or why or even what the moves do). You'll always know what you need to do and how to do it without hand-holding and with satisfying challenge.
So I brought Ghost of Tsushima based on the only positive reviews (which is something I rarely do), and found another gem, the best game that I have played since Witcher 3.
The tutorial is quite long and in 2 parts. Learn the controls because they are not what you expect.
Firstly this is not a slash and burn game, although I suppose it could be played that way. Finding Fox Dens (Inari Shines) and shrines on the top of mountains is important, don't ignore them. The fight controls seem easy and quite simple, however once you learn the various stances for fighting it becomes interesting.
This is about choice and doing what you have to, and not what your beliefs are, although the choices you make do not have the same consequences as others. This is a semi open world, I say semi because you cannot access certain areas until you have completed certain missions.
The cut scenes are about poignant and thought provoking and most characters having to make difficult decisions although unlike other games in the news (hi Cyberpunk) you cannot make the choices for the characters.
Generally I get more enjoyment by being an assassin / sniper and this game is perfect for that. Therefore when I first started I did not carry out the first mission involving Sensei Ishikawa and found that you have to carry out the first mission to get your first bow. I died very many times without my bow to kill from long range.
IF you like to slash and burn, you can challenge each group of bad guys and provided your timing is good, kill at least 1 (or 3 if you have developed the necessary skills).
To me, this has a great story and lots of areas to visit and I cannot recommend this enough!
Enjoy, while you wait for the Cyberpunk 2077 patches to be issued.
I can't say anything that hasn't already been said, so I'll keep in simple. This is the best game I've played in years. I bought a PS4 for Spider-Man, God of War, and Ghost of Tsushima, and even if I'd only played the latter, I'd of been happy with my purchase.
It’s amazing so far, the detail in the graphics and the story line is addictive to just find out what happens, I love it personally although the story line can be a bit long sometimes as the distance to travel and lack of main stories, there is still so much to explore and discover, literally my only downside is the time it can take to get from one area to another and the smalller amount of customisation on story mode, legends is great fun with friends and always brings you back wanting more or to get that cool piece of armour or sword, with different classes it’s basically like a second story mode but with your friends！
One of the best games i have ever played, i would recommend this to anyone who likes the days of the samurai and old Japan or open world games the only one thing i had issues with was the bad camera angles but you get used to it
I haven't played anything quite as atmospheric since God of War on the PS4. Looks amazing, Interesting world and in depth combat and story. Had I known it was this good, I would have bought it ages ago. You should play this game.
