black spots concerning for mold, seller did not take seriously
12 September 2020 -
Published on Amazon.comVerified Purchase
Bought this straw cup and initially very pleased with it. liked the handles and design. However after not long, some black spots developed along the lip of the silicone straw insert where it sits against the cap. We clean our items after each use and nothing would remove these spots. Tried normal scrubbing, soaking, sterilizer, also boiling, and the spots remained. It appears like mold that is developing between layers of the silicone and hence not reachable by normal cleaning methods. I wrote the seller and asked that they take a look, and their response was that it was my fault and that I am not cleaning it properly. I went through all of the different cleaning attempts we made and they continued to say that it is not their issue. They then said I should buy a replacement myself. Not only was the response rude but for a children's product and a safety concern, the lack of care, ownership and customer service was frustrating.

Great alternative to glass

So I have been looking all over for you spell proof stock up and I came across this one. I really like that it is like a plastic material but without all of the dangerous side effects of using plastic. I was avoiding buying a sippy cup that was made with aluminum because I couldn’t stand the way they sound when they fall and babies always toss the cups on the floor. It’s also the reason I didn’t go for a glass bottle or sippy cup. This is really a great option if you’re wanting to have a more natural option for your babies sippy cups.

The handles on this cup swerve in a full circle so it makes it so that the baby can pick it up and drink it at any angle. I really do love this cup. The price point is a little bit high but if you’re only buying one or two sippy cups that are high-quality it makes up for that does an a five dollar sippy cups that you would normally buy.

By far our favorite - no leaks

UPDATE:
We originally bought the white one with gray bottle and still love it. No leaks, despite baby even flipping it upside down. Since it is still out of stock, we ordered the sky blue. The bottle isn't gray but is an amber-ish color. The handles and cap are pearlized and the ring where the straw goes into is matte.
Someone also noted that liquid rises up and out of the straw.
Here was my review of the Grosmimi weight straw kit:
These are great to help baby get the last bit of milk or water out of the bottle without having to tilt it.
However, I've noticed milk tends to rise up and out of the straw if there is a temperature difference between the liquid inside the bottle and air temperature. Pressure builds up and if you're not paying attention, it overflows. What helps is to unscrew, lift straw out to release the liquid back down and close again. Simple but annoying.
At first I thought it was a defect in the design of the weighted straw, but found this to be the case even with the standard straw that comes with the Grosmimi bottle. In fact, it happens with the other brands too so not specific to this brand.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I've tried Nuby, Nuk, Munchkin, soft spout, straw, sippy, 360...you name it. This one didn't come up right away in search results but I'm glad I came across it. Ran it through fakespot and it got good reviews. I was reluctant to pay $22 for a straw sippy but ended up becoming our favorite. The others would leak, our baby wouldn't like or just hard to get liquid out of. We were transitioning our 13mo from bottles and he went on a milk strike so it made it more stressful. In the same week, he learned to use drink out of a straw (had been using 360 cup since 7mo). The Munchkin on w the weighted straw was good to but would leak and splatter milk everywhere. This one is worth the price as I just ordered another. I love the removable handles, shape isn't bulbous, easy to clean parts and thread through straw, and especially oz indicator so you know how much milk your child is drinking.

easy to use and clean

My kid is 17month now and after switching to this product, he start drinking more.
The handle moves freely, so it's easy for kids to drink better
Only downside i can think is that if kid plays with the cup and pushes the rubber part that fits with plastic part on the top (straw rubber part) , rubber part will get moved and start leaking because it gets misaligned with the plastic part.
