I set this up within five minutes - super easy to use! It's virtually all controlled via your Iphone, but does function by touch also. I like how customisable each setting is. It comes with an american plug though, so had to buy an adaptor.

FYI, one noise I was surprised wasn't preprogrammed was the sound of the ocean/soft waves. I would still recommend buying.

I love Hatchbaby. We have had one for 2 1/2 years and it’s been a lifesaver training our eldest about when she can come out of her room in the morning/post naps. More sleep for us. Yippy! We got when my eldest was turning 3. Now she is 5 and she and her little sister both love it. I ordered this for my friend who is having her first baby since I think it’s invaluable for overtired parents. Lol. Love that it synced to an app on your phone as well. One of my favorite purchases for my children over the course of their early years.

This is my first ever Amazon review, but I loved this product so much that I felt I had to share my experience! I bought this out of sheer desperation simply for the “ok to wake” function. My 18 month old had been waking between 5 and 6am for over 6 months, and literally nothing I did helped him sleep any later. We already had a cheap white noise machine, so when I first heard of this product, I balked at the price, thinking I didn’t need it for the other features. I first purchased a cheaper “ok to wake” product, but found it difficult to operate, and poorly designed and made. I finally purchased the Hatch Rest, thinking if it didn’t work out, at least Amazon would let me return it.

Now, I had serious doubts about my 18 month old’s ability to understand and abide by the “ok to wake” concept. But mom needs a little time to herself in the morning, so I was willing to give it a shot despite my reservations. The beauty of this product is the app and Bluetooth capability. I set the clock for 6am the first night and told my son that when the light turned green in the morning, he could get up for the day. For the record, my 18 month old can only say about 10 words... but he seems to comprehend a lot. The next morning, he woke at 5:30. I wasn’t about to let him cry for 30 long minutes, so I opened the app, changed the wake up time to 5:35, and then when the light turned on, went into his room and did a big dramatic wake up. I said, “look, your light is green, that means it’s time to wake up!” I then turned on the lights, threw open the curtains... made a big deal of it. Over the next few days, I gradually set the clock back little by little, and he started sleeping a little later each day. After a week, I was able to set the clock to 7:30 (my ideal wake up time for him). He woke the first few days a little earlier, and I would just tell him through the baby monitor talk function that his light wasn’t green, and I kid you not— he laid down and went back to sleep until the light came on. Now if he wakes a few minutes early, he just plays in his crib and waits for the light. I can’t believe that this worked, but it did. And now I feel like I have to spread the word!

I actually loved this so much, that I bought a 2nd one for my 3 year old. He loves it. He plays in his room until his light comes on at 7:30, and also stays in his room to play or look at books during “quiet time” in the afternoon. He loves choosing a nightlight color and sound on the app every night. I truly cannot say enough positive things about this product... try it!

I like this nightlight for my 3-year-old toddler, the sound is great and being able to control it from anywhere in the house is awesome. Timers work great, and the wake up one with birds is great... However...

Here is my beef: Why does Hatch Baby need to know the age and gender of my child before I can use the product... this pisses me off, and so I deducted 2 stars for each silly question without letting me skip it... Great product, crappy they lock you into making an account and collect your data.

I received the product on time and the product itself is exactly as advertised. I tested it on its own (I have not yet paired it with my phone) and the white noise feature is great. I have yet to test it with my baby when he comes.

The one thing I did not enjoy was that the product was sent to me from the US. I specifically chose this store as it was the only one that stated that they ship from UK. That is why I chose to buy from this store. There are multiple stores that ship from the US, I preferred a shipment from the UK. I was not warned at any point in the purchase process about this or afterwards. I just received a notification from the delivery service that I have a package from the US. After I contacted the seller they said that for addresses outside the UK, they ship from the US. I think this should be mentioned somewhere, otherwise, it is misleading and led to some unpleasant experience.

Apart from this, the seller was quick to answer all my inquiries and explain in detail and I am quite happy with the whole purchase.

I really wanted to like this but I'm returning it as it just doesn't work well enough for the price.

The app glitches about half the time. When you close the app and later open a different one, the stupid Hatch app opens again on its own!!!!!

The bottoms on the bottom of the unit don't work great. They work....just not great.

When you have only a light, and not sound there is a noticibke hum from the speakers that is super annoying and keeps my little awake.

Not worth $75. If it was $25 I would keep it. But I'm returning it.

I will start with the cons: Bluetooth only, while this is okay in most situations there doesn't appear to be any security involved here, anyone with a bluetooth enabled smart phone can connect to this unit. If it was wifi I'd probably give this a perfect review. The only other con is probably that I tired to change a program that is already running, but this did not update the unit, it must only update the program at initial run, so if you change the end time of the program while the program is running the unit will not obey your change.
On to the Pros: Sound quality is great for the size, a rich sound that beats our last sound machine. The software does work great, and there appears to be active development with feature updates. Support seems good and active. Take the time to learn the software, it takes a few minutes to understand how Programs and Favorites work.
Over-all I would recommend the product, I do find it is priced a bit high, but once all the bugs are worked out and a wifi unit comes out I wouldn't think twice about it.
