Messy and inaccurate

I ordered this apron for my dad and am incredibly disappointed with the craftsmanship. The top pocket is way different from the image. It’s about two inches bigger in height and width and sits awkwardly off-center. In the picture, it sits on the left side of the chest but mine looks like someone lazily sewed it on and misaligned it. In one picture you cam see that the edges of the pocket aren’t even straight. The edges of the pocket are crooked. Also it is sewn about an inch in so the pocket is technically 2 pockets? A pen holder and notebook holder??? Not displayed like that in the photo so looks like a sewing mistake. The fabric is a nice denim and the straps feel sturdy... but the pockets look so janky.

I’m so disappointed and feel like I got scammed. I trusted the reviews and it seemed like a reliable brand but the product I got does not show the “premium quality” that they promise.

Ok, first off: I am NOT an apron guy. I have resisted this notion for some time, even though my wife has several times pointed out the advantages of having one when I am grilling and smoking meat. I finally gave in, and ordered this apron based on her recommendation. At least it's a manly denim apron, and except for not being thick leather, the design is reminiscent of the welding coat (I refused to call it an apron!) I used to wear when I was working with hot metal. So, much to my surprise, when I wore this the first time smoking ribs and chicken this weekend, I LOVE IT! It is comfortable, adjustable to my "full figured man" physique (with plenty of room to grow), the pockets are really handy for timers, my instant read thermometer, cell phones, and other things I keep with me when I'm grilling. And when I get charcoal dust on me, I can just brush it off. I actually wish I had bought one of these years ago. If I ever do wear it out, I will definitely order another one.

Great If You Never Have To Clean It Or Seemingly Expose It To Water

Product arrived on time and in good condition.

It's a solid and well-made apron but never try to clean it. I usually rinse out my aprons in a bucket of clean water before I throw them in the wash. I use them to keep clay off my clothes. In this case I'm glad I was doing the rinse. The apron, in the color black, bled color like it wasn't meant to be on the fabric in the first place. During the first dip into the bucket the clear water became opaque with a gray-black color. It bled and bled and bled through several rinsings. I never did get clear water out of it after rinsing. The black apron that I ordered is now significantly less black. I'm surprised it has any black left in it at all for as much as it bled. It's as if it was dyed with black dye but never rinsed before shipping it to me.

Jeremy: Your apron arrived and I immediately tried to put it on. I was very pleased to find it was very well made, with sturdy and durable materials. I liked everything about it with one exception: I could not figure out how to put it on. There were no instructions or pictures illustrating what I should do to wear it successfully. When I was in the military, I went to jump school where I learned, among other skills, how to fold, pack, and deploy a chute in such fashion that I didn't land on the ground in a personally disastrous way. After the war, I went back to school and stayed in the academe for 35 additional years. You might say that i am a slow learner; I prefer the handle self-directed scholar. But that's just the way I tried to make some sense of the world. I may be an old (73 years old) feeble-minded dinosaur who might not live to see 74). But on the off chance I do, I hope to be able to wear your apron properly with panache, and participate in voting the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, out on his fat ass. (Sorry, I just had to get that out of my system.)

I hope you and your "folks" can tell me how to get into the apron without having an accident. Failing that, I'll continue to try new approaches to the problem until I get it right. When I get things to work, I will be happy to endorse your product and service to any and all ... For now, please accept my comments as well-intended constructive criticism. I recognize the challenge you are meeting, and I sincerely hope for your success. As the Eagles posited in a song: "It's your world now," and for the sake of the planet, please do your best to help get it right this time. The Earth Mother is getting weary of accommodating each generation's failure to learn/accept what needs doing to protect and preserve Her life and the lives of all who call Her home.

OK, sermon's over. I'll shut up now. Be well, be safe, be healthy, and have courage (which I once heard described as that which ordinary people do to survive and overcome extraordinary challenges).

The greatness of this apron lies in its adjustability and that it drapes over your shoulders instead of hanging off your neck. If you simply can not stand the feel of an apron chafing at the back of your neck or uncomfortably clinging to your body, this style of apron is for you. I would have preferred a slightly lighter material, but this is somewhat mitigated by the less constrictive fit it has. The pockets are also pretty nice. The buckles and leather patch the two straps cross through across your back need to be removed for laundry, but the buckles also eliminate the hassle of fiddling with tying apron strings behind your own back. They can also be adjusted while you are wearing the apron so that it has a bit looser feel, which I really appreciate.
