These are great! At first you think.. these hinges aren’t gonna hold etc. Look, I put it directly in the fire and made char cloth. THEY BOTH HELD STRONG! Still function perfectly!

There has been a rash of breakins, and rumors thieves use transceivers to steal key codes. This makes it RF tight for Mercedes and Lexus car keys. Keep key in box at night. If I was more paranoid, I'd carry the key in this box when I exit the car. I read the a person should always lock door with a button on the car, do NOT lock your car using the keyfob. Plus a thief can come close to you, transmit to the keyfob, receive the energy from it, transmit that to a friend standing next to your car, they retransmission from the friend opens the car, and steals everything.

I purchased the set of (2) in the size of 4.5 x 3.3 and they are perfect for holding 24 half pans of watercolor! Also, I receive 3 tins instead of 2, not sure if this was a mistake in the packing of my order or if the company was being generous, but at any rate, I appreciate the extra box. They arrived in good shape, no dents, and they seem to open and close easily. I was looking for a small-ish container that would adequately hold 24 half pans and these seem just great! I am going to place small squares of magnets underneath the pans and hopefully, those will hold them in place, if not, I will use some glue dots. I would recommend these tins.

the hinges RUST severely

These little tins would be wonderful if the hinges didn't rust which they rust quite severely.

I bought these plus some very strong magnets (to place inside) in order to keep a spare ignition key for my truck & car - magnetically stuck in/under the wheel well - in case I accidentally lock my keys in the vehicle. This approach works much better than the typical weak Key Keeper type which will randomly fall off your car - lost forever on the street.

Well, I locked my keys in my truck earlier today. I went to grab the box with the spare I had tucked above the rear tire, up in the wheel well. This is when I discovered the disappointing rust.

Ultimately, they are great little storage tins IF you never have them outdoors.
My search for replacements now begins.....
