Inspired by Zelda Breath of the Wild (BotW) in art and level design. Has a paint aesthetic for graphics with climb/glide anywhere, stamina meter, and mini shines/vaults puzzles

Story based around Greek mythology. Typhon take major God's essences or powers away turning them into a weaker form, and it's your job to turn them back to normal

More dialogue than BotW. Great banter between characters. Has a lot of personality with it's quips, lame dad jokes, comic mischief, and one liners

Battle encounters are more over the top than BotW, and more free flowing than tactical. Camera more panned out.

Combat consist of light, heavy, dodge, parry and special attacks. Able to string together combos and do air attacks.

Heavy attack drains enemy stun meter of enemies, but light attack is faster and have higher combo potential. Also have special moves you can unlock

Perfect dodge puts enemies in bullet time. Giving you chance to do extra damage

Stealth: sneak up and attack them form behind to do massive damage to enemy for preemptive attack

Less discovery than BotW. For every new area, you go to highest point and the map will unlock. Able to use eye scanner in first person to reveal side quest and treasure chests to collect. There's always something to do, making you feel like there's constant progress

All areas where each God resides look different from it's buildings and terrain. Less copy/paste areas like in Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed (AC) games.

Able to tackle any area you want like in BotW. Some enemies with larger health bars you may want to ignore, unless you want a challenge

No level system. Gear and equip based where you must level up gear and powers. Weapons do not break like in BotW

Get crafting items: chests and defeating legendary animals.

You upgrade type of weapon instead of individual weapons. For instance if you upgrade your sword for example, all swords will upgrade

Various puzzles in the game consisting of hitting switches, pushing/pulling boxes, using abilities, have multiple objects interact with each other, and/or platforming. All are bit sized and satisfying once you figure them out

There are different currencies in the game:

Ambrosia: upgrade permanent health

Coins of Charon: upgrade skills and Godly powers (perks)

Zeus's lighting: upgrade stamina. The more stamina you gain the more accessible the world is to you

Eletrum: currency earned by doing daily/weekly objectives to purchase rare cosmetics which rotate in store via timer. There are microtranactions in the game where you can buy these items via real world money

Overall, I had a very fun time, love the flow of gameplay. Once you finish a side missions/puzzles there's always a marker in the corner of your eye to go to and upgrade yourself. Best Ubisoft open world game released this year (compared to Assassin Creed Valhalla, and Watch Dogs Legion).

There are games that rely on the hype machine. The millions upon millions of ad dollars poured in to drum up mass interest. Then fall flat. Then there are games like Immortals Fenyx Rising. Yes, it was advertised. But nowhere near levels of Valhalla, Cyberpunk, etc. and yet, this outshines and out-funs both and most AAA games. This is a genuine delight and a true masterclass in writing, in game design, music, voice acting and everything else that goes into not just a game but an experience. This is a true gem polished to gaming perfection and I can't WAIT for this title to flourish like it deserves to
