This book should be given to every new teacher that enters the profession! It is not often that I purchase a PD book for myself, this one I had to have. Now that I am almost done reading it, I am in awe of their talents and am more inspired in my own teaching!!! This book is truly written in the form in which the title exudes! The book itself is so interactive!! Not only to they explain their thinking and ideas in an easy way, but they also include QR codes to many different examples of what they are explaining or showing!! This has been an added bonus when reading this!! Not only do they tell you how you can implement an idea or strategy or new app easily, but they show you how, AND even provide templates when appropriate! I have already recommended the book to my principal to purchase for the building!!

I'm always careful when I get a book like this to not bend it in case I want to send it back. However, within a couple of pages, I was grabbing for my sticky notes and a highlighter so I could start making notes in the book. This book has activities you can do TOMORROW when you go to class. (Or from home if you're doing online learning) I have highlighted, written in, and tabbed the heck out of this book. I have also suggested it to all my teacher friends. The ideas are practical, useful, and easy to implement. Must have for any grade teacher!

I just discovered this book this summer, but wish I had it during "distance learning" this spring. Whether teaching live and in-person or online The Interactive Class is a treasure trove of easily implementable ideas to make your classroom more engaging for your students. The QR codes in the book are so neat and give you an actual glimpse into what each technology can do. I was fortunate enough to get in on a Booky Study group (check out Interactive Class on Facebook) where we got to "test drive" some of the ideas in the book. Now I am teaching summer school (in school with students) and using some of the ideas and apps and already I can see the difference in how my classroom feels. Kids come excited and wondering what we're going to do today! I highly recommend for any teacher wishing to make your classroom more interactive for your students!
