I purchased this paper for use in making Japanese lantern shoji panels. For this purpose, it worked pretty well for me. The thickness is such that it lets through plenty of light, but it a little bit more fragile that i would have liked. Given that more thickness likely means less light, I value more light for my particular application of this product.

it is easy for practice

The paper is very thin, but hold Chinese ink stone ink very well, no spreading. I used it for Chinese Calligraphy with my stone ink, and I put a grid under it, it is easy for practice. The bad thing is the paper shrinks on the words you wrote, and wrinkles pretty bad, I don't expect you can mount that paper easily since it is very very thin. One side of paper is very flatten smooth, and the other side is textured with a little rough surface which more suit for calligraphy writing, I used the rough side for writing. For practice, this is a good source, but it is not good for your final product. The other bad thing is: the sender packaged the paper by folding it in a half to fit to a paper box, that is bad bad. Hope the sender will never fold this type of stocking paper for anyone in the future.

Will not buy this junk again. Poor quality. Not worth trouble returning. Will not write on this thin paper. I am using it to wrap a mask as a gift in this paper, which is still so thin.

I use this paper for Suminagashi paper marbling. It works quite well for that purpose. The paper is strong enough to not tear when you pull it from the water, and flexible enough to be manipulated. I have not drawn on the paper or used it for calligraphy, but it worked well for paper marbling.
