This book might even be a great refresher for current (adult) business owners. We read it over two nights to our (then 6 year old), and she ran from there. She set up a business that I help her with online, and she has a marketing plan, inventory management system, and all! After seeing her sister's success, our 5 year old started her own business as well. I help her purchase her items, and she assembles all of the kits and labels. Combined, they have made over $300, but more importantly, they are earning and learning very important skills and lessons along the way. Thank you to the amazing authors and team at Kidpreneurs!! Your big idea will help hundreds of thousands of kids and parents!
I was hopeful about this "book" for my kids! Somehow it's both too patronizing and cartoonish for older kids while too meaty (and dry) for younger kids. Feels more like a pamphlet, with way too much packed onto each page. Could not hold the interest of either of my boys.
I got this book for my 6 year old niece. She is always thinking of ways to make money. The work sheets are cool and walk you through making a business plan. She needed a little help reading this book and developing her plan, but it gave her lots of good ideas.

I bought this book for my son a couple of years ago, he was still a little too young to understand it but over the last few weeks he's been thinking more about "making money".
He's done papers and has hated it mainly because he has to deliver them rain or shine, and doesn't think that the effort he puts into it is worth the money he makes.
After reading this book he's asking questions about running your own business and truly has some very neat ideas, some probably would not work but rather than shoot them down we sit down and review the idea and concepts and I help him put together his thoughts on paper so that he can see why the idea is good, or is not.
He hasn't found the million dollar idea yet but knows that he doesn't want to work forever for someone else.
This book pushed him in the right direction to think about entrepreneurship.
