They do take a while to get used to especially if you are using the taller attachment. It does change your grip on the controller. It took me about a month to get used to it. The difference it makes in terms of aiming is very small, but it does make aiming a bit easier. It does make playing at higher sensitivity a bit easier. e.g. on fortnite I used 7 sensitivity without kontrol freeks, and while I could play ok with it, always felt a bit too high and I definitely could not play on 8. But with taller kontrol freek on, 7 feels more like 6 and 8 is actually playable for me. This make a big difference when trying to hip fire. Gives you a bit more fine control at these higher sensitivities.
TL;DR - its one of those things you just have to try out yourself. You would either like it or hate. I think this gamer pack is good value as you can try a longer stick and still have the option to use the low rise ones as well.
The cqc have such a nice feeling to their large surface and I love the dome with the lip shape.
The Galaxy are also quite nice. The texture has a really nice feel to it and all the little nubs make quick movements easy to pull off without the stick slipping. Plus all the little channels provide great air flow for even greater assurance of a firm grip.
They also work well together if you care to mix them up. I usually will use a cqc on the left and a tall Galaxy on the right. Though if I'm going to be playing something where the right stick just controls the camera (like Monster Hunter World or Dark Souls) I prefer two cqc sticks or maybe the short Galaxy for the left stick.
All in all a good set. If you feel you need more KontrolFreeks in your life, go ahead and get these.
Easy to use (they clip right on over the existing controller sticks)
Comfortable fit (they are concave so they fit your thumb nicely)
Each one is a different height so you can find what works best for you
Soft rubbery texture is not slip and easy / comfortable to use
None - I plan to buy a second set for my other controller so I don't have to switch them back and forth when a controller battery dies.
